Aqui estão enterrados Mlan Obrenovic (o filho mais velho de Milos Obrenovic) e o casal Rei Alexandre I Obrenovic e sua esposa, a rainha Draga. No local onde hoje está a igreja, em 1830, foi lido o édito dos sultões que anunciava a autonomia sérvia na Turquia.
A Casa da Assembleia Nacional, um dos edifícios mais monumental do antigo Reino da Jugoslávia, foi construído entre 1907 - 1936. A história da sua construção, com inúmeras interrupções e modificações de projetos, e com a participação dos mais importantes arquitetos nacionais da primeira metade do século XX, representa simbolicamente a história da Sérvia, e depois o Estado iugoslavo e sua vida parlamentar. Com suas qualidades arquitetônicas e artísticas excepcionais, o palácio se destaca no ambiente arquitetônico da capital. Já em 1892, o Ministério da Construção confiou a implementação deste projeto ao arquiteto Konstantin A. Jovanovic, mas devido a turbulências políticas e dificuldades financeiras, a construção do edifício foi adiada por vários anos, quando o arquiteto Jovan Ilkic foi designado para realizar esta tarefa.
O Antigo Palácio, o Palácio Real da dinastia Obrenović da Sérvia, atualmente abrigando a Assembleia da Cidade de Belgrado, está situado na esquina das ruas Kralja Milana e Dragoslava Jovanovića. Foi construída entre 1882 e 1884, segundo projeto de Aleksandar Bugarski. Por sua arquitetura externa, o edifício é uma das mais belas conquistas do academismo na Sérvia do século XIX.
O Hotel Moskva é um histórico, de quatro estrelas, de 123 quartos no centro de Belgrado, na Sérvia, estabelecido em 1908 na Praça Terazije em um estilo distinto da secessão russa. Protegido como um monumento cultural, possui um famoso café, restaurante e spa, tendo acolhido celebridades como Albert Einstein e Robert De Niro.

O Monumento de Gratidão à França, obra do escultor Ivan Meštrović, foi erguido no final da avenida principal do Parque Kalemegdan em 1930.
A Fortaleza de Belgrado, consiste da antiga fortaleza e Parque Kalemegdan na confluência dos rios Sava e Danúbio, em uma área urbana de Belgrado moderno, Sérvia. Localizada no município de Belgrado Stari Grad, a fortaleza constitui o núcleo histórico específico da cidade.
O monumento "Victor" é talvez o símbolo mais reconhecível de Belgrado. Foi criado nos anos anteriores à Primeira Guerra Mundial, mas sua formação levou um tempo extraordinariamente longo. O monumento à vitória do exército sérvio nas guerras dos Balcãs foi originalmente concebido como uma fonte, que deveria ser colocada no centro de Belgrado, em Terazije. A tarefa foi confiada a um dos artistas mais importantes do início do século XX, o escultor Ivan Mestrovic. No início da Primeira Guerra Mundial, ele havia lançado a parte central da fonte na forma de uma figura masculina nua segurando uma espada em sua mão direita (um símbolo de guerra) e um falcão em sua mão esquerda (um símbolo de paz) - o Victor.

The guide is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The tour covers many points of interest in central Belgrade that you can revisit to explore in more detail if you have time. Highly recommended.
Aleksander was a great guide. He showed me all the interesting stuff, and noticed immediately what i was interested in. Coffee at the Moskva hotel was the highlight!
If you want to know anything about Belgrade/Serbian history, all you need to do is join Aleksandar for a walking tour. He delivers with passion and pride all you could want to know about his home and country that he clearly loves.
What an amazing walking tour of Belgrade. I learned a TON about Serbia and Belgrade specifically!! There was much history and I finished the tour with a much deeper appreciation of both Belgrade and the Serbian people in general. I highly recommend this tour!
I had the most fun and informative 3 hours with my guide Alexsander. We walked all over the city and I learned the historical significance of many buildings and statutes. We even came across procycling teams preparing for a competition and stopped to speak to a few of them. The time flew by very quickly as there was so much to see and learn. And the Turkish coffee was excellent. Belgrade is beautiful and I highly recommend Alexsander as a guide as he made the walking experience so much better with his insights and knowledge.
Aleksandr was excellent in his explanations—clear and full of insight. His love for his city and country was evident as he shared its history along with little-known facts. The tour experience was truly enjoyable, and I found it a pleasure not only to listen but also to share some facts about my own country with him. Despite the grey sky and light rain, the tour was enjoyable, thanks to his enthusiasm, knowledge, and the beauty of the city.
Excellent tour, had time to see all the main sights in a short time. I liked what Alexander said about Belgrade, taking into account the cultural specificities of each guest. Even though we were all from different countries, everyone was able to find a piece of their homeland in Serbia. This suggests that the guide has extensive knowledge beyond the route he created.
I booked a walking tour with Aleksandar last minute on Trip Advisor as I had been a little unorganized and there were not many options with availability left. Let me be clear – I am very pleased with the decision I made. The tour is genuine value for money. Aleksandar as an individual is a fascinating person to talk to. Mixing that with his knowledge of Belgrade and its history made for a genuinely entertaining and informative few hours. I had a particular interest in the recent history of Belgrade, specifically the NATO bombings. Not only has Aleksandar read and studied this part of history, but he was in the city at the time and experienced it as well. Do not hesitate when it comes to booking a tour with Aleksandar – you will not regret it. Additionally, if he recommends eating at one of his brother's 4 Smash Burger restaurants, then don’t ignore him. You will not be disappointed. Thank you, Aleksandar. I really appreciated your time and knowledge.
Aleksandar is a nice guy, but the tour was less historical and more political. He offered to take us anywhere we wanted and I said I'd like to stick to the itinerary listed, he did not . Very disappointing, we had to excuse ourselves from the tour.
I had the best time being shown around by Aleksander. The man knows everything and speaks with objectivity and passion about the history and culture of his region. It was pretty humbling to see and made me realise how relatively little I know about the history of my own region because, during my life, we have lived through a period of peace, democracy and progress (this is all relative, of course). I would highly recommend going on this tour. You won’t regret it!
