Myself and 5 friends went to battle bunker in Paarl. What an awesome experience it was. Our guide was Abel and we could not have had a better person guiding us today. Thank you Abel!!!
We visited Paarl Battle Bunker for a 15km quad bike experience and found it to be disappointing. We had chosen the longest route of 15km but the farm was relatively small that there wasn't 15km available, so there was multiple sections which we rode twice. Even most the new areas were boring as we were guided up and down various rows of vineyards and orchards which is find for a couple of stretches but not repeatedly...that's just boring. Don't advertise what you cant offer. When it comes to maintenance these bikes are not great at all. My wifes bike struggled a lot for power and eventually had to swap with the guide who had to go and get a replacement when he realised it was in fact screwed. My sons back wheel was wobbling badly like it was about to fall off, turns out they just didn't weld it on straight. I mean really !! My bike was leaning to the side like the suspension had a problem which is uncomfortable and unstable when riding a quad. These wer the worst of the issues. In addition it was advertised to be an hour ride, but we were finished in 50 minutes and we were going slow. The guide was good and helpful and these issues are not him. So whomever owns this business...sort your crap out.
First time quad biking and Abel, our guide, was so friendly and helpful. The ride was great fun and we loved racing after Abel on the straights and through the vineyards. Can't wait to go again!
