Neste passeio único, você visitará a segunda maior mina de sal com 3 cores diferentes de sal e famosos templos hindus. De ambas as cidades, Lahore e Islamabad, você aproveitará a viagem panorâmica e verá a beleza da natureza dentro da montanha. Cerca de 2 horas, você passará nas minas de sal e 1 hora e meia nos templos de Katas Raj, o tempo restante da viagem. Será uma experiência de vida para uma família, amigos e crianças. O Templo Katas Raj é um importante templo hindu situado no distrito de Chakwal, em Punjab (Paquistão). É uma valiosa peça de história e arquitetura, dedicada ao deus hindu Shiva, o templo existe desde os tempos do Mahabharata. Como diz a lenda, com a morte da esposa de Shiva, Satti, ele chorou tanto que suas lágrimas criaram dois lagos sagrados - um em Ajmer, na Índia, e outro em Katas/Ketas, que significa literalmente “olhos chovendo” em sânscrito. Os templos, fortes, balneários e casas de repouso abandonados cercavam uma piscina sagrada para Shiva, e é aqui que milhares de hindus costumavam se reunir todo mês de abril para se banhar. A maioria dos templos foi construída durante o reinado dos reis hindus, há cerca de 900 anos ou mais, embora o primeiro dos templos Katas Raj remonte à segunda metade do século VI DC. O governo do Paquistão está tendo grande interesse em preservá-lo/protegê-lo e restaurá-lo. Aqui você pode ver um país das maravilhas da natureza no Paquistão.
A cordilheira do sal é uma área de grande beleza natural que fica entre os rios Jhelum e Indus, em Punjab, no Paquistão. É uma cordilheira baixa, rica em sal e outros minerais e repleta de vida selvagem. É também chamado de ‘Museu de Geologia’ onde se encontram rochas do período pré-cambriano (milhões de anos) até os tempos atuais. A área contém alguns lugares deslumbrantes com uma série de atrações específicas, incluindo a maior mina de sal da Ásia e a segunda maior do mundo depois da Polónia. Existem também templos hindus famosos, como os templos Ketas, muito próximos das minas de sal.

Khewra Saltmines is the 2nd largest and biggest mine in the world. That is one day excursion from Lahore & Islamaba. That is worthseeing place, which was discovered by the horses of Alexander the great in 327BC. There are three natural colours of the salt pink, red & white. Mr. Maqbbol is highly recommended. He arranged our tour from Lahote to Saltmines. STRINGLY RECOMMENDED!!!P

Khewra Salt Mines is the 2nd largest salt mine in the world after polish mine. It is situated near Kalar Kahar on National Highway. It was discovered by the horses 🐎 of Alexander the great in 326BC. It is worth seeing and it is a geology museum inside the mountain range. Our tour was well organized from every point of view. Mr. Maqbool is highly & recommended!!! He is just like the Encyclopedia of the history & geography of Pakistan.

It is a beautiful salt mine & Hindu temples. It is near about 3 to 4 hours drive from Lahore. Mr. Maqbool organized our tour the tour was excellent and amazing. I will recommend 100% this amazing tour. You will really enjoy because there are interesting stories behind these 2 famous places.

I can frankly say, it was a wonderful day and tour of Salt Mines & Hindu temples Katas Raj from Lahore to Chakwal. Lahore is a city of gardens & colleges. The tour operator, the tour guide and the driver were helpful, courteous and friendly. They made a great team. Would recommend it anytime to anyone.

We Lahori friends made a plan to visit Salt Mines & Katas Raj Temples in Chakwal near Kalar Kahar. It was a fantastic, completely absorbing tour. Well worth the entrance fee and tour guide. The history of Salt Mines is so interesting. Our tour guide Maqbool was excellent, sharing his knowledge and history of the Salt Mines and Katas Raj over the centuries. He engaged with the crowd making it a fun experience. This tour and tour guide plus driver Hakim all are strongly recommended!!!
