Started with the tour was 45 minutes late. Sat in a crowded speedboat where everyone had no proper seat to sit. Which made it very uncomfortable when the boat jumped and slammed against the waves. The guide had no compassion that you got a little scared when you did not sit safely and properly but rather thought it was fun and pulled on even more and drove tight turns. He even made fun of the country we came from and said we easily got motion sickness. Even let one of the customers drive the boat a bit.
The speedboat tour is fun although you don't see much special. The cave is cool, but small. The island is Oke with a nice beach, but last you are dropped on a peninsula for 2 hours with few facilities. The skipper has gone to sail another group back. Sailing is fun and exciting, especially if you love Pitbull. I wouldn't book the snorkeling and drink. I didn't see a snorkel so I ended up paying 14 euros for a warm beer and a lukewarm juice.
First of all, Aer/Air who was our boat tour guide was fantastic! Very energetic and fun. The boat does play loud party music so just be aware, I loved it but partner didn't. They overbook the boats and too many people were squeezed onto our boat that some had to stand as they allowed two extra people on. They say get there 30mins before which we did but in fact they tell you to come back 40mins later and then you are still waiting around and late to leave so I wouldn't rush to get there. We were looking forward to 45mins of walking around the old military island but due to being off season no people are allowed on that island which they failed to tell us until the boat arrived at the island and that was the guide telling us that so they knew that. Disappointing as it states: 45mins military island, 10mins cave and 2 hours for the other island. Caves were beautiful and the speed boat was fun! The captain did lots of tricks which were cool. I would say be prepared to get wet! Or if you don't want to.. sit at the very front! We had 2 hours at the last stop which was great but bring food as no shops or restaurants (which I personally find great as I don't want tourist places). We did some hiking when we got off there others chilled on the beach but yeah that ex military island was disappointing we couldn't get off as advertised as we basically were on a boat saw two things and got off hence 3 stars... If we did this trip in peak season maybe different but you should be telling people before they book they won't be able to get off at that island in off peak and they also cut out trip short we were not 4-5 hours but we're 3 hours only
Hi there, Thank you for your detailed feedback. Regarding the stop at Sazan Island: the government does not announce a fixed official opening date each year. For example, this year the island opened to tourists on 10 May, while last year it opened on 30 May. Because of this, we are not able to confirm the exact official opening date in advance. We always follow the authorities’ instructions and update the itinerary accordingly once access to the island is officially allowed. Thank you for your understanding.
That boat trip to Sazan Island was absolutely amazing, even in February! The staff were super polite and made it really special. It was about 4 hours long, and the owner even made us sandwiches since the beach restaurant was closed. I'd totally recommend it to anyone wanting a memorable adventure – seriously a highlight of my travels!
Great experience with them. Had the trip in mid September and it was totally worth it. The boat was fast and modern as advertised. The guide was awesome🥰
Great experience, despite big waves always felt safe. The beach in Karaburun is overrated and people should take their garbage with them - would rather have explored Sazan longer In summer it would probably be too crowded for me
Superb boat tour from Vlora to Sazan Island with 3 stops: 1) Beach on Sazan Island (30 minutes) 2) Cave of Ali Haxhi (10 minutes) 3) Beach off the island (2 hours) We enjoyed the passage in the cave which is spectacular. The pebble beaches are nice and clean with crystal clear water where we can see some fish and corals (snorkeling equipment is provided during the last stage). Leti is an experienced driver who handles the outboard well: he masters speed and turns to perfection which made our ride very entertaining. The tour started at 9.30am and we were back in Vlora at 2pm, which left us all afternoon to visit Vlora and enjoy its sandy beach. We recommend this 30€ tour per adult when visiting Vlora.
Consistent with what and planned the team and pretty well organized the wait it says a bit long for embarked but the experience remains fun and the staff clear in these explanations.
Had a very nice trip. The water was fairly rough this day, but that made it just a little extra. Cozy music on board and a drink, great day! Only the eateries on Karaburun were downright bad. Don't eat there, you'd better bring your own. That was a shame.
Very interesting and full of emotion. The managers were very attentive and worried about our well-being Thank you
