Itinerário
Iniciamos o passeio, onde estão localizados os palácios do Governo e do Parlamento. Onde aprenderemos muito sobre a turbulenta história e os aspectos políticos da Bolívia, desde a era colonial, quando La Paz pertencia ao Império Espanhol, até o presente. Você sabia que o Palácio do Governo da Bolívia foi queimado pela população local? Saiba mais participando deste tour!
Agora visitamos o Memorial da Guerra do Chaco, última guerra travada pela Bolívia, durante esta visita observamos armas, uniformes, fotografias, medalhas e outros objetos que foram utilizados durante esta guerra. Visitamos a icónica Rua das Bruxas onde podemos tirar fotografias com os murais e guarda-chuvas desta rua turística. Durante a visita a este destino aprendemos sobre a influência, idiossincrasias e crenças dos povos indígenas predominantes da região andina da Bolívia, também aprendemos mais sobre todas as nações indígenas da Bolívia. Você sabia que a Bolívia é considerada um dos países mais diversos em aspectos culturais e ambientais?
Na Bolívia estamos loucos, agora visitamos (de fora) uma das prisões mais perigosas da América Latina. (Sim, a prisão está localizada no meio da cidade. Neste destino aprendemos sobre muitos problemas que assolam a sociedade boliviana moderna, bem como histórias fora de contexto que aconteceram nesta prisão.
Concluímos o passeio observando o Hotel Copacabana, onde Ernesto "Che" Guevara se hospedou quando chegou à Bolívia em 1967. Durante esta visita, conheceremos suas ações na Bolívia, o estabelecimento de uma guerrilha no leste da Bolívia e a influência de diferentes correntes políticas na atual política e sociedade boliviana.
Visitamos o memorial aos mártires da democracia, visitamos o exterior do local onde, na época das ditaduras, foi cometido um dos piores crimes. Durante esta visita conheceremos mais sobre a história da Bolívia durante o século XX, especialmente sobre a época das ditaduras que marcaram profundamente a população boliviana. We loved our tour with Shamira! She has a wealth of knowledge about Bolivia’s political and cultural landscape as a native of La Paz. The tour flew by as we walked around at a relaxed pace having great conversations. My favorite part was when she walked us through offerings and rituals done by Bolivians using goods found at the witches market. I would definitely recommend this tour - it was a highlight of our time in La Paz.

A very good overview of the political history of Peru. There were only two of us so we all could ask each other questions about our cultures which was fun!

Nelson really knows his stuff. He took me through the whole political history of Bolivia from the 1800’s onwards. The assassinations the Coups the Wars, the US involvement and the communists. Moving on to the people, the unions and the effect of drugs

It was an informative tour and our guide Nelson was great. At the start of the tour my girlfriend was feeling very sick so we sat at a cafe and he bought some coca leaves for her to feel better. In the tour he explained a lot of history and current political issues in Bolivia, as well as answering any questions we had as we walked around the city.

Overall a very good tour. Our guide was friendly ans showed us around the centre on La Paz. The tour was also not too long which was ideal for us

We were notified by whatsaap of a change of schedule the day before but we were very busy with our trip and could not see it. They say they called us but we didn’t hear the call either, so at the time we had chosen there was no one. They also do not return the money from the tickets, that is; without receiving a reply they consider our tickets lost with the change of timetable. This is disrespect and abuse of the client. They look like Rayanair.

The fascinating and inspiring political history of Bolivia was one of the reasons we came to La Paz. And this was a definite highlight of our stay. Unlike a lot of tourist-aimed tours that just tick off a couple major moments, this was incredibly, dense, well-researched and really explored the whole history of the city and the country — from the revolutionary wars and independence movement, to the recent socialist governments and the turmoil of the last decade. Rodrigo wasn't just super friendly and entertaining but incredibly well-informed and able to answer any follow up questions you might have. A perfect tour for history and politics enthusiasts. Highly recommend!
