AMAZING Safari game drive

A must-do experience! Our guide was lovely, incredibly knowledgeable, and more than happy to answer all the questions we had about the park, the animals, and Zimbabwe itself. You could really tell he loved his job and was exceptionally proud of Zimbabwe’s wildlife and natural beauty. We saw so many incredible animals, including several herds of elephants, baboons, giraffes, and zebras, to name just a few. Our guide was always happy to stop and give us plenty of time to take photos, which made the experience even better. I’d highly recommend timing your tour for either sunrise or sunset — driving through the park with that light was absolutely beautiful!

The essence: DO!

A safari trip through the border beef of Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana is really a great experience. I'm 72 now and I've seen a lot of the world, but this trip hit everything. The waterfalls, the wildlife, the birds, birds of prey, the starry sky, truly a unique experience!

Amazing, memorable ride!

We had an absolutely superlative three hour ride through Zambezi National Park. Though smaller and less ‘touristy’ than Chobe which we did the day before, our wonderful guide Enock offered us experiences that we did NOT have in Chobe Park; specifically, fantastic close up view of water buffalos, zebras, and some unforgettable ‘action’ images: his sharp eye caught a lioness stalking a group of wart hogs. We were absolutely entranced watching this spectacle for over half an hour and although the lioness never did ‘make a go for it’ due to the distance and lack of camouflage (this was a fairly open area) watching the stalking process was something we will always remember. Magical too, was watching a whole group of elephants coming down from the hills to a watering hole and then watching them drink and spray themselves. So special!

Successful Safari

The driver was really nice and personable. He asked what were our expectation as far as animals we hoped to see. It was a very pleasant safari and wasn’t rushed at all. We saw buffalo’s, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, crocodiles, various types of antelopes and even saw Elands (rare to find). Even stopped and had some tea. I will definitely recommend.

Like to thank Enock for a very informative tour. They know the area well and are familiar with a lot of topics regarding the animals

Great Safari, Great Sightings!

Took this Safari as a returning client after another solo trip in 2022. This time, I brought friends with me. We were picked up really early and the staff were friendly and had some breakfast for us (we left too early to have breakfast at our hotel). We were extremely lucky and had great sightings of lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, kudu, hippos, crocodile, buffalo some other animals, I can’t remember. Some of my friends were on their first safari, so this was deeply charged and exciting. Thanks to DK Tours for yet another memorable trip. Will be back!

Seeing animals is...

Seeing animals is random and we know it, but stopping right in front of a grove and not having the opportunity to take usable photos of animals is another. Our guide had a beautiful camera and when he stopped in front of his place he had a very nice view, but not the other people in the group and once the vehicle stopped he was not trying to find a better angle like the other cars. After telling him during our snack stop he made a little effort but it was too late and anyway he kept stopping in the only non-operable place so moving or not the vehicle was no longer useful. It was also necessary to raise your voice to stop to see a herd of elephants by the roadside. Well, we could take some pretty pictures. A little too bad.

Resposta do operador

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We’re truly sorry that your game drive didn’t live up to the high standards we set for every safari. Wildlife sightings are always unpredictable, but the positioning of the vehicle and clear communication from our guides should never feel limiting. Your feedback about the photo angles and the delayed response from the guide is especially valuable. We’ve already addressed this with our guiding team to ensure that every guest has the best possible view and that guides check in more frequently with everyone in the vehicle—not just from their own vantage point. We’re delighted you were able to capture some beautiful shots of the elephants in the end, but we completely understand the disappointment earlier in the drive. Please know this isn’t typical of our safaris, and we’d love the opportunity to host you again and show you the level of attention and flexibility that we’re known for. Thank you once again for helping us improve.
