O Parque Nacional Amboseli é um dos destinos de safári do Quênia, uma terra de gigantes, elefantes de presas grandes, com uma população de cerca de 1.800 elefantes, por isso também é chamado de lar de elefantes e grandes felinos, incluindo leões, chitas e leopardos, todos contra a mais alta montanha africana Kilimanjaro. É um belo parque compacto com muita vida selvagem, incluindo Waterbucks, Búfalos, Girafas, porcos selvagens (japoneses), toca de hienas que são facilmente avistados e uma variedade de pássaros, incluindo flamingos e aves aquáticas como crakes, martins-pescadores, pelicanos, hamerkop e 47 espécies de raptores vistos em o habitat dos pântanos. O parque possui uma boa variedade de acomodações atendendo a diferentes orçamentos e estilos. O ecossistema Amboseli é o lar mundialmente conhecido da comunidade Maasai, rica em herança cultural e práticas pastorais.

After our first introduction (visit to Nairobi NP - review elsewhere on Tripadvisor), we scheduled a 2 day visit to Amboseli with Peter. He took all organisation out of our hands and was very kind and helpful where needed. The visit itself was great, Amboseli is well worth visiting. We took some great pictures. Peter took us to a Masai village on the second day which was also very worthwile. Also, the stay at Ol Tukai resort is recommendable. They have well equipped rooms with mosquito nets and serve very good and diverse meals (buffetstyle). If you’re vegetarian then there is still plenty to choose from.
