O passeio começa no porto, onde você embarca em um ônibus com ar condicionado para uma viagem de uma hora por estradas cênicas, passando por aldeias pitorescas a caminho de Cahuita. Este é um belo Parque Nacional que combina uma grande praia de areia branca com exuberante floresta tropical. Durante a caminhada pela natureza, nosso guia naturalista estará apontando para as diferentes espécies de vida selvagem presentes no parque, como macacos, preguiças, iguanas, tucanos e outros. Após o passeio pela natureza, uma parada para lanche está incluída na cidade de Cahuita, onde você pode desfrutar de uma bebida ou saborear os sabores caribenhos locais. Voltando ao cais, inclui-se uma parada em uma plantação de bananas para aprender mais sobre esta importante cultura para a economia costarriquenha. Além da banana, você aprenderá sobre chocolate e outros produtos importantes desta rica região. Uma loja de souvenirs também está incluída como parte do passeio antes do retorno ao navio.

Um belo Parque Nacional localizado a cerca de 1 hora do cais, com abundante vida selvagem, vegetação e cultura caribenha. O Parque Nacional de Cahuita é um parque nacional terrestre e marinho na Área de Conservação do Caribe La Amistad da Costa Rica, localizado na costa sul do Caribe em Limón, conectado à cidade de Cahuita. Cahuita é único na Costa Rica por sua estreita relação com a comunidade, um exemplo de gestão compartilhada entre a comunidade e o governo para um desenvolvimento sustentável em nível comunitário. A participação dos guardas do parque e da vida comunitária se destaca por meio de uma gestão de governança compartilhada. Neste ecossistema, aninhado no Caribe, mas com ambiente florestal, você encontrará espécies como guaxinins, preguiças, iguanas e basiliscos. Você também notará cobras como ouropel e tamagá, e pássaros como o gavião preto. Dentro do parque é possível praticar esportes recreativos e caminhadas pelas trilhas, ou simplesmente curtir as praias nadando ou tomando sol.
Puerto Limón, comumente conhecido como Limón, é a capital e principal centro da província de Limón, bem como do cantão de Limón, na Costa Rica. É a sétima maior cidade da Costa Rica, com uma população de mais de 55.000 habitantes, e abriga a comunidade afro-costa-riquenha. A província caribenha é um paraíso natural, formado por uma combinação de selvas densas, montanhas imponentes e praias paradisíacas. Limon tem a maior porcentagem de terras protegidas na Costa Rica, bem como uma grande variedade de flora e fauna. Sua vegetação é exuberante, assim como as culturas em toda a província.

This is the same tour offered by our cruise ship but was a better value. You get three different experiences - 1) a visit to a nearby national park with sloths, monkeys and some birds, 2) an organic banana plantation where you learn both about the fruit and the packaging process and 3) a canal tour on a boat offering close-ups of sloths and caimans. Our guide Nathalie was a delight - very informative, positive and professional.. Highly recommended!

This was a well organized day with a biologist as our guide. He was very knowledgeable, professional and personable. He was aware of the needs of the group and offered spot stop options for those who were mobility challenged. The driver was aware and watched for opportunities to see wildlife en route and stopped for amazing sites. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was a great tour and our guide Natalie was exceptional. The bus and boat were clean and comfortable and Natalie was full of knowledge about the area and all the species. I learned so much in the 6 hours of the tour. Highly recommend this one!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and added an extra dimension to our tour. We saw an incredible number of animals (slouths, iguanas, holler monkeys, cayman, and birds). We sampled various fruits at the plantation

Our guide Ariel was great-Pickup outside the port was easy, transportation was very comfortable and the locations visited were amazing. Ariel shared his wealth and breath of knowledge, never rushed us at the three destinations - Cahuita National Perk, the banana plantation and a river tour and made it a really interesting and fun day. As warned, bring Deet as the mosquitos can be a little aggressive and carry water and snacks as we spent six hours on the tour. There is food and drink that can be bought at the banana plantation and the prices are reasonable. A really nice thing our guide did- let us know that we would be arriving back at the port on time, several times during the day.
