Panelas de Makgadkgadi - Aventura Central Kalahari 7 Noites / 8 Dias

The Makgadikgadi Pans and Central Kalahari Game Reserve are certainly worth going to though not necessarily with Sky Adventure Tours and Safaris. The scenery is absolutely stunning and the wildlife breath-taking. There are a few areas of concern, however, with Sky Adventure Tours and Safaris. The open-air game viewer had no seat belts and many times during the trip, when we were rocking and rolling on the sandy roads, I felt as if I was going to fall out. The diesel fuel also spilt on the floor of the vehicle causing another safety hazard. In addition, I felt that the guide should have been more informative. I expected him to describe the geology of the areas we were visiting, point out the main types of vegetation, as well as inform us about the different wildlife. His bird identification skills were somewhat suspect. It would also have been helpful if the guide and chef had been provided with a trailer to store the camping and cooking equipment, water, and food. We used up a lot of time unpacking and repacking all this paraphernalia on top of the game viewer each time we moved camp; other future guests might not be so tolerant of all the time wasted. It must be said, however, that the cook provided excellent meals despite the limited cooking facilities and resources!
