I can wholeheartedly recommend the fruit tour at the Mercado Paloquemao! The tour was excellently structured from start to finish and even exceeded our expectations. Of course, we learned about and tasted many extraordinary fruits, but we also learned an incredible amount about Colombia, its culture, and the everyday life of its people. It was especially nice that we were shown how to properly peel, cut, and eat many of the fruits. This allowed us to buy and enjoy them ourselves at the market later. Our guide Maria was simply great – warm, incredibly likable, and with an infectious enthusiasm for her country and the local fruits. You could tell in every minute how much she loves what she does. It was a wonderful experience and definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Bogotá. Absolute recommendation!

We had a FABULOUS time, our guide Maria was so friendly and informative, you eat so much food and learn so much about Colombias rich food diversity - we tasted fruit we’d never even heard of! Along with Breads, Empanadas, and Colombian Coffee. We would highly recommend as a fun foodie day out! Thanks again x

Such a treat. Maria - the founder of this business - did an amazing job telling us about the market, produce and walking us through the fruit tasing, as well as sharing her commitment to biodiversity. Aside from the fruit we got to try some pastries, empanadas and delicious coffee. She was very accommodating for my toddler (who spilled a cup of milk on her). Highly recommend.
