Itinerário

30 min

Essential Palermo tour

Extremely interesting and informative tour. I thought about what I learnt for the rest of my trip so I would say it is definitely worthwhile, and my guide was very engaging, helpful and enthusiastic! (Unfortunately cannot remember his name 😬)

Informative

We decided on a 9am tour which was still very warm in the August heat. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Make sure to get a good guide

Really bad guide. He had difficulty speaking French and was hard to follow. He had no stories to tell and no enthusiasm.

Resposta do operador

Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry that the tour did not meet your expectations. This is not the kind of experience we want our guests to have. Our guides are usually passionate and well prepared, and the storytelling, the historical context and the human stories behind the anti-mafia movement are central to the way we design this tour. We regret that, in your case, this did not come across. We will speak with the guide and use your comments to improve, especially regarding the clarity of the French explanation and the overall energy of the narration. We hope to have the chance to welcome you again in the future on another tour, and to offer you an experience closer to the standard we usually aim for. Thank you again for taking the time to share your impressions.

This is well worth the three hours for anybody visiting Palermo and has an interest in learning about the city. Our guide, Valeria, was warm and accommodating and her passion for the city was inspiring! Highly recommend this trip!

Very interesting tour about the Sicilian mafia. The guide could have just been slightly more engaging.

Save your money. It’s a dump

Palermo is a dump. Lovely architecture but ruined by the national pastime of chucking fags on the floor. Litter everywhere and we think a strike by refuse workers (mafia?) Next on the list was Agrigento-some say another gem and a high point of Sicily. Sorry another dump. Litter strewn along along all the streets and roads and the by now ubiquitous fag ends. The cross country journey was interesting and beautiful in parts but there is still litter. My wife, who studied Development at uni, says it is a developing region. The rubbish and the smoking point to issues evident in a developing country. We won’t be back. Its a discarica

Resposta do operador

Dear reviewer, We are sorry that litter negatively affected your experience of Palermo and Sicily. This is a serious issue, and Addiopizzo Travel also works alongside local non-profit organisations to promote greater care for our territory. However, your review does not mention or evaluate any tour, guide, booking or service provided by Addiopizzo Travel. It concerns Palermo, Agrigento and Sicily in general, and the one-star rating therefore does not reflect an experience with our company. We would be grateful if you could remove the review from our listing, or contact Tripadvisor to have it moved to a more appropriate section, as its current placement may mislead travellers who are looking for information about our tours. Kind regards, The Addiopizzo Travel Team

Palermo No Mafia – Regeneration Tour -- Extremely interesting!

We did the Palermo No Mafia – Regeneration Tour in Italian with Attilio, although he also speaks perfect Spanish. It is an experience that is very much worth it to understand how the AddioPizzo association works with other social actors for the benefit of the people of Kalsa. On the tour, they explained the history of the neighborhood to us and how it intertwines with the Mafia and the Anti-Mafia. It also includes visits to artisans who are on the front line against the gentrification of the Palermo neighborhoods. In short, a fantastic way to spend an afternoon in Palermo, ending with a tasting of typical products and a drink in a corner we would not have been able to reach on our own. 100% recommended!
