Saia da linha para o Palácio da Pena e o Parque. É preciso passar pela parte oriental do Parque da Pena para chegar à encosta íngreme construída pelo Barão de Eschwege que leva ao edifício de estilo castelo. O próprio palácio é dividido em duas asas: o antigo mosteiro manuelino da Ordem de São Jerônimo e a ala do século XIX construída pelo rei Ferdinando II. Essas asas são cercadas por um terceiro elemento arquitetônico, uma fantástica representação de um castelo fictício com paredes pedonalizáveis que contém batalhões, torres de vigilância, um túnel de entrada e até mesmo uma ponte.

O palácio é um magnífico exemplo de arquitetura romântica do século XIX, situado no segundo ponto mais alto das colinas de Sintra, uma montanha rochosa.

The Sentra palace in Sintra is absolutely amazing and a must-see in Lisbon. My concern is solely about the service offered by Viator. We booked a tour at 10:30 am and received an email confirmation. Then we got a text the next morning saying that 10:30 am was not available anymore and asked if we could make 12 pm instead. At 12 pm we realized that the only thing we purchased were tickets for entry that are available at much cheaper rates at the entrance of the park. Beware!
My wife and I enjoyed our private tour so much! Jose was an amazing tour guide with so much knowledge to share! It was lovely to have a tour with just us, it felt so special! We definitely recommend this tour and Jose!!

We paid extra for the clear promise was that we would go to the front of the line. 'Skip the Line'. That did not happen. After they scanned our bar code we were put in the same line as everyone else. Nobody met us to help. The castillo staff and the castillo itself were fabulous. Getting there was quite a hike uphill. But this ticket is of no added value than the regular advanced ticket directly from the park of €25 each.

We are truly fascinated by your discovery that “Skip the Line” does not, in fact, mean “Skip Security.” Unfortunately, even our tickets cannot bypass government-mandated security checks — but if you ever find a provider who can, please do let us know, as we’d be eager to learn their magic. Also, it’s interesting that after being “put in the same line as everyone else,” you still found the Castillo staff and the Castillo itself “fabulous.” So, to clarify: the monument and its staff were excellent, but somehow the tickets that got you there were of “no added value”? Quite a mystery. Finally, our product page clearly mentions that a tour guide is not included, so we’re puzzled as to why you were waiting to be “met by someone.” Perhaps next time, purchasing a guided tour instead of an unguided entry ticket will help avoid this confusion. But thank you again for your review — For future travelers, please do read the inclusions before jumping into booking an experience.
Overpriced. Don't do fast track. Palace and gardens are great but fast track not explained on how to use. Audio tour free on phone as you enter. I will not buy from this company again.
