Sivan, our guide, was wonderful. Took us to great places, gave us tons of explanations and history and had great conversation. The tour was enjoyable and informative.

Khalid is from North Africa and has been in Osaka for 7 years. He is married to a Japanese woman and speaks excellent Japanese. He really knows Japan and Osaka but maintains a certain outsider perspective which we found really invaluable. He helped us design our itinerary and was very friendly in addition to knowledgeable, with fabulous English skills to boot. One of the highlights was taking us to a small bar which is basically just a lunch counter but they had a single microphone for karaoke. He knew it was a spot for Korean tourists and it was a hoot. Almost made me feel like a local.

I got to experience a lot of Osaka in a day! Everything from cherry blossoms, to temples, subways, food and a highrise observation deck.

We had terrible weather which is obviously outside your control. Our guide had planned what appeared to be a nice itinerary which sadly we weren’t able to follow due to weather. We went up to the topmost he highest building in Osaka but views were non existent. Again due to weather. We had to pay for our admission as well as that of the guide. Had to repay her cost of metro and purchase her lunch. This was unexpected and have never had to do so on any previous tour. Hence the lower rating. She did take us to the Dontonbori district.

We had the best day in Osaka with Hugo. He took us all over the ciry and was a delight to talk with. What a wonderful way to tour the city!

Great guide! Highly recommended! He facilitated my kimono experience and took us to the beautiful sakura park.

Jose was personable and helpful, offering insights into what it’s like to live in Osaka as a westerner. He took us to a number of locals-only restaurants near Dotonburi and showed us the busy areas as well. Totally enjoyable.

My tour guides didn’t really make a plan for my family and I, we were seemingly wandering aimlessly. I provided a list of points of interest but told them I would defer to their expertise as to not compromise the tour, and instead they attempted to just try and hit a few of those points with no real discussion, information about Osaka. We were late to the meetup due to travel delays and they were very patient with us and kind to the kids, but for the price did not deliver much by way of a tour that we couldn’t have done without them just wondering dontombori ourselves. My daughter started to run a fever and we ended the tour about halfway through and when we contacted the company to ask for a partial refund we were denied with no explanation. Our guides were friendly people, just not very knowledgeable on the city of Osaka so if your looking for a a guided tour this is probably not for you.
