A meio caminho entre Lazio e Toscana podemos encontrar Orvieto, uma pequena cidade da Umbria. Embora a parte da cidade na superfície tenha mudado ao longo do tempo, a estrutura subterrânea original permaneceu quase intacta. O passeio guiado pelo metrô de Orvieto é, portanto, a ferramenta mais adequada para entrar em contato com esta característica muito característica da cidade, extremamente rica em história e que se orgulha de “joias” artísticas muito notáveis. Passo a passo, ecos misteriosos e fascinantes nos contam sobre a era etrusca, enquanto fantasmas da Idade Média e da era do Renascimento aparecem das sombras úmidas. Michelangelo antes de começar a pintar a Capela Sistina, foi a Orvieto para admirar como Luca Signorelli pintou o Céu e o Inferno na Catedral.

Orvieto é uma cidade e comuna italiana na província de Terni, sudoeste da Umbria, Itália situado no cume plana de um grande butte de tufo vulcânico. A cidade se eleva dramaticamente acima dos rostos quase verticais dos penhascos de tufo que são completados por muralhas defensivas construídas com a mesma pedra chamada Tufa.
A Civita di Bagnoregio foi fundada pelos etruscos há mais de 2.500 anos. O Civita (ou Cidade) foi o local de nascimento de São Boaventura, que morreu em 1274. A localização de sua casa de infância há muito tempo caiu da beira do penhasco. No século 16, Civita di Bagnoregio estava começando a declinar, tornando-se eclipsado por seu antigo subúrbio de Bagnoregio. No final do século XVII, o bispo e o governo municipal foram forçados a se mudar para Bagnoregio devido a um grande terremoto que acelerou o declínio da cidade velha. Naquela época, a área fazia parte dos Estados Papais. No século 19, a localização de Civita di Bagnoregio estava se transformando em uma ilha e o ritmo da erosão acelerou quando a camada de barro abaixo da pedra foi alcançada na área onde a ponte de hoje está situada. Bagnoregio continua como uma cidade pequena, mas próspera, enquanto o local mais antigo ficou conhecido em italiano como La città che muore ("A cidade que morre"). Civita di Bagnoregio só recentemente passou por um revivalismo turístico.

A fantastic trip. The driver was pleasant and professional. He provided great service. The guide was knowledgeable and easy to understand. The locations were amazing. I highly recommend this tour.
The scenery is very beautiful, the whole journey is comfortable and comfortable, the time and itinerary are well coordinated, the driver and tour guide are experienced, and the driving is safe. If you need private space and comfortable travel, this itinerary is definitely a good choice
We did 7 tours with AIM Limo. Hard pressed to choose the best one. Each was a unique opportunity to be immersed in Italian culture. The scenery, food, information on each area was unbelievable. Alessandro and Evano were wonderful to work with. They arrived early each day to get us and never made us feel rushed. They were very knowledgeable about each area we visited. We also used them for our airport transfers. I would highly recommend them for touring around Rome…the Vatican, Colosseum, etc….but you must schedule a day trip with them “off the beaten path”. Their prices are reasonable and the experience extraordinary!
The suggestion to go to unique destinations and venues, that tourists would never even know about was phenomenal. Thank you Allessandro and Ivano! I especially enjoyed Bangnoreggio; even many Italians have not heard of this medieval and once Etruscan village! I will recommend you to any who come to visit. Grazie Mille!! (Fr.) It was heavy rain on the way. There was thunder and it kept raining so much that I thought of going back to Rome, but when I arrived, the rain was flip-flopping and clouds were hanging over Civita, like the whole city was floating. It was like a river on three sides, crossing a single bridge hidden in the clouds all the way. It was a fantastic experience. It was sunny on the way back, and I was able to experience a sunny Civita. It's a wonderful place to be. It will definitely be an impressive day.
We spent the day touring with Alessandro, he escorted us on our tour and made some very good recommendations. Would not hesitate to use their tour service again. If you are concerned about the cost, it's worth it. It's way better than a tour bus, I have had that experience on prior vacations. Pick your tour, pay the cost and relax and enjoy Italy. RJD
It's a lovely tour, a city with beautiful landscapes that suddenly appear when you drive around and you can go around slowly without thinking about the people around you.
This was our fourth visit to Rome, so we were ready for some new adventures. We had an incredible day; Livio was prompt and a pleasure. He had great insights, was personable and fun to get to know, and even taught us a few things about agriculture in the area. We had a wonderful day; I would highly recommend this trip, this company, and this driver.
This was simply the most amazing trip. I really enjoyed seeing Civita di Bagnoregio more than anything else I saw in Italy. Admittedly, I had been to Italy once before and seen the big "must sees", so if you haven't been, maybe Civita is not where you want to start, but as a person who loves the road less traveled, this was TOPS - literally. This little city is situated seemingly at the top of the world. Our driver, Davide, was friendly and knowledgeable. His English was very good and he helped me along with my very poor Italian. He had a broad knowledge of the area philosophies, flora and fauna, history, customs, and food- which we talked about at length while he drove. We were free to roam the sites at both stops, so there was not a tour of Civita or Orvieto per se, but just strolling through these marvels was entertainment enough. Wonderful day trip from Rome!
