Only for great fans of Harry Potter! With extremely fluently speaking of English! Boring for everyone else and worthless
Ellie was a fantastic tour guide today. We had the best time exploring York. Learning facts about the beautiful city and its relation to the Harry Potter films. We loved playing along with the quiz and testing our Harry Potter knowledge along the way. Ellie was easy to talk to, incredibly knowledgeable and just all around lovely!
Molly was a lovely and engaging young guide who knew her topic very well. As well as Harry Potter related info, you will also learn some interesting York related history, so bonus there. The tour takes about 1.5 - 2 hours and goes surprisingly quite quickly. We really enjoyed and would recommend

We had such a great time! Molly was so fun and made the tour really interesting. We learned so many fun facts, and my 13- and 15-year-old daughters absolutely loved it! Highly recommend!
I booked this tour for me and my daughter - I was a bit reticent before booking as others have mentioned there is quite a bit of history content which I thought my 13 year old would hate. I needn't have worried as George our tour guide was brilliant! George is clearly a passionate Harry Potter fan and did a great job of keeping the momentum going, mixing lots of Harry Potter facts and quiz questions with some great information on the history of York along the way. The route meant we didn't get stuck in the crowds, managed to stop in mainly shady spots and we saw snippets of York I wouldn't ordinarily have gone to, let alone found. The group size was perfect (I think about 10 of us). In my daughters words, 'George made the tour'!
Molly who was the tour guide was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Molly kept the tour interesting and has a tonne of enthusiasm and made it fun. We decided to take the tour because there were a lot of reviews online that said it was great for children. While it was great to start with we had to leave the tour after about an hour, there was still at least 45 mins left on the tour. My boys are 7 years old and love Harry Potter, but got bored during the story sessions. Not because the stories were boring them but rather that their attention span is very limited at that age. I would recommend this tour to families with older children. Teenagers would love it. I was disappointed that we had to leave the tour early but my children were starting to disrupt the tour and I did not want to spoil the experience for the rest of the group. I would suggest a suitable age group be added to the website.
George is a very friendly guide and it was a nice and interesting tour! Our 11-year-old liked it too! Thank you!
This was awesome, packed with fun filled trivia and facts but also history of the town too which was fascinating, Ellie was awesome!
