My friend booked the night Scuba and I booked the night Snorkel tour with Aquatic Life Divers in early August 2026. Our captain was Tara, our Dive Queen was Mary, and our Snorkel guide was Tara. They all did a wonderful job especially Mary who explained the safety and manta stuff clearly and loudly. Safety is #1 for me and they had EVERYTHING from pfd for poor swimmers to AED and flare guns covered! I went as a snorkeler and we held on to a paddleboard as a group but noticed other tour groups floated on some pool noodles. I am glad I did the paddleboard thing because there was less people bumping into and kicking me. Best of all, I got the most amazing UP CLOSE views of the mantas and a few fish too! My friend enjoyed it too but told me he wasn’t pleased when they wouldn’t let him rinse his snorkel gear in their freshwater buckets 🤦‍♂️. I liked they also offered extras including bean bags on the front of the boat deck 🙌, POG juice, and some snacks like rice krispy treats. We also got a very small cup of hot ginger tea at tour’s end. The waves can make the boat feel rocky so I got a bit dizzy at the end, but lying down on the bean bags really helped curb any vomitting. I did the snorkel with the sharks tour in Oahu too & that tour was way more dizzying despite me taking Dramamine. The manta rays tour, personally, was hands down better than the shark tour just cus the mantas brushed up against me and didn’t kill me. FYI: Remember to bring your own dry beach towel as they don’t provide them.

I did the one tank manta night dive with Aquatic Sports twice, once with Jaime and the next night with Dylan. Both of them were awesome, enthusiastic, competent, and very informative about the dive and its procedures! We saw so many mantas!! I couldn't have asked for a better time. Colin was the captain both nights and he was excellent; great sense of humor and fun to talk to. I absolutely recommend these guys! They know what they're doing and they're always smiling! :)

Had an absolutely wonderful experience on the Twilight Reef and Manta night dives! Liana was an excellent guide and ensured that everyone had a wonderful time under water. Jon was an exceptional captain with a ton of knowledge and a great sense of humor. I will definitely be coming back!

These guys know how to Manta. They have mastered the art to throw a cookout and host Manta rays. I had the most incredible manta night dive with Aquatic Life Divers—truly one of the most amazing experiences of my life. From the moment we got in the water, it felt like stepping into another world. As the lights illuminated the ocean below, manta rays began to appear… and then more… and more. It quickly turned into a full-on manta feast. At one point, I counted at least twenty mantas gliding, circling, and swooping gracefully just inches away from us. It was absolutely mesmerizing. The team at Aquatic Life Divers was outstanding—professional, well-organized, and genuinely passionate about what they do. I will always trust this company with any of my future diving needs. A very special thank you to Mary, Dylan, and Captain Tara—a true winning team. They took care of everything for us and made the entire experience completely worry-free. Watching these gentle giants up close, barrel-rolling through the light beams as they fed, is something I’ll never forget. It’s one of those rare moments that truly takes your breath away. And Mary—thank you. You are, without a doubt, the queen of mantas. If you’re on the Big Island, this is an absolute must-do. I would go back and do it again in a heartbeat.

Top notch experience from the Capt Tara who was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout experience and the dive masters were excellent. I have to say a special thank you to Mary her excitement about diving is contagious and really made you want to come back to dive as soon as possible. The manta ray dive was really special, have done this dive before, but this experience with this company was very special. We were so close the mantas it felt magical and awe inspiring! Highly recommend doing this dive with Aquatic life, you will not be disappointed.

Capt. Tara was amazing, very informative and helpful throughout the experience. The dive masters on this boat are awesome! Very informative and knowledgeable. Have to give a shout out to Mary, her excitement for what’s below is contagious and inspiring! Makes you want to dive again as soon as possible. The Manta Ray dive was so wonderful, we were so close to them it was mind blowing and felt like a spiritual experience! Had done the Manta Ray dive in Kona before years ago, but this experience was very special and I would highly recommend using this company for this experience!
