We booked this group tour, in the morning we were supposed to meet at 4:00 and they arrived at 4:30, once we landed in Cairo we were following one guide when another stopped us and we found out that we had received an unsolicited upgrade from group guide to private guide (we preferred group) but we tried anyway without complaining (and I don’t think the companies do random upgrades, in our opinion the organization had been wrong). The guide was very quick, at 10:30 we had already finished the first part of the day, where we saw pyramids and they took us to a perfume shop where they offered us drinks and then offered us their products and we felt obliged to buy and after we went to see the papyri (this interesting but 5 min explanation). So at 10:40 they took us to the restaurant to already have lunch... obviously at that time the restaurant was not yet doing anything to eat and then they took us to another clothes shop where the shopkeepers followed us, and then we had lunch before 11:30 not knowing what else to do. After we visited Egyptian museum, very hasty, the guide made us do the whole museum in a hurry and then go to the bar and let us stay 40 min inside alone for our own business. Even this activity ended early and not knowing what to do we proposed the Nile ride that we paid for. After that we are told that the roads are very busy and that we have to go to the airport, we arrive at the airport at 16:30 with a flight at 21... they left us there to do nothing almost 5 hours which then became more given the delay of the plane. We were really super disappointed by this experience it all seemed very much done in a hurry to leave on their own, staying at the airport so much was crazy and the only activities proposed by the guide to pass the time were to visit shops where everyone was assaulting you. We then explained the situation to the agency that turned against us, never again I will book with Etro Tours, money and time wasted!

We started early with a smooth flight from Sharm El Sheikh, which gave us more time to explore Cairo. Upon arrival, our guide was knowledgeable and passionate, providing detailed insights into each site we visited.

The tour guide was very good and we enjoyed the content of the experience. However, it was overshadowed by extremely poor co-ordination with Etro Tours. I was contacted via Whatsapp on the Monday following arrival in Egypt on the Sunday night to ask if we could take the trip a day earlier than planned - on the Tuesday - it would be a 6.30 am pick up. I agreed for an hour later to be advised the flight was full so it would remain Wednesday as booked. I queried 3 times the pick up time as I had originally booked 7am. Having not received a response my 11 year old son and I went to bed assuming to be ready for 6.30am. I was awoken by my phone ringing at 23.20pm followed by a Whatsapp message advising we were being picked up at 4.15am, I was horrified. Equally horrified at the end of the day to arrive at Cairo airport and be told our flight back to Sharm wasn't until 9.15pm. A further disappointment is that it wasn't clear entry to the Great Pyramid was not included in the pre-paid trip and despite confirming a camel ride was included via Viator, to ask the tour guide on the day to take us to our camel ride - he disagreed it was included and so the Pyramid entry and camel ride cost me an additional £50.00 on top of the price of the booked trip. Hugely disappointed and would not recommend this trip, especially if travelling with children.

The cheapest 1 day tour in Cairo from Sharm El Sheikh. All inclusives are true. Guide is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour company.
