Jamie was an excellent guide, explaining everything in detail. It was great to see the old and new parts of Shanghai. We had a very good time.
We spent a fantastic four hours learning about the history of Shanghai and visiting the sights! Our tour guide Mary was absolutely wonderful!
I had such a great time on this walking tour! Mary was my guide, and she made the whole experience feel personal and enjoyable. She not only shared fascinating stories about the history and culture of Old Shanghai but also went out of her way to help me buy a beautiful jade stone jewelry bracelet as a souvenir. Mary was super kind and thoughtful—she even took some great photos of me at the famous spots, which made the memories even more special. The walk itself was full of charm, with stunning traditional architecture and lively streets. I’d highly recommend this tour.
It was a great tour and had a great guide he was very considerative. He was asking if i need to go to the restroom and want him to take picture of me. When we arrived at restaurant he asked if i am allergic to anything and ensured my safety and ordered food for me. I had a great time.
Absolutely stunning architecture and well worth a visit, the buildings are beautiful and the area is busy with tourists and locals. Lots of sights and the smells of the food cooking around, some nicer than others! But you won’t regret paying a visit here.
We had a great walking tour with Linda. We started off at the Fairmont Peace Hotel and then had a stroll along the Bund, all the while Linda was giving us great information about the area and some of the history of the various buildings that we could see on both sides of the river. Linda was chatty and fun, and we felt very comfortable with her as she guide us on the tour. We went from there to Yuan Gardens and saw some beautiful historic architecture. There was a lot to take in and we are a neural diverse family and she was able to adapt our tour to suit us. We opted to not continue on with the Tea ceremony and tasting as we were feeling quite overloaded and had to reassure Linda that we were loving the tour and her guidance, but for our particular family, it was challenging with the large amounts of sensory input. What was great, was that she was very understanding of this, and she also took loads of great photos of us and was very informative. We exited the gardens and she took us through the Shanghai, old town, which, if we had been up to it, she would’ve given us a guided tour through as well, but in our case, we chose to conclude the tour there. We had a wonderful morning with her and highly recommend her and her company if you are looking for a fun and informative walking tour in Shanghai.
This was such a great experience - Mary was my guide and since it was just me on the tour, it felt like I was hanging with a friend who was showing me around yet sharing great historical references. Mary was super nice and very helpful, it was extremely hot that day but she made it very enjoyable - highly recommend
Our English speaking group of five had a wonderful time with Tom. He is deeply knowledgeable and happily made small adjustments to the tour to make sure everyone in the group was happy!
We did a 4-hour walking tour with a group of 8 persons. Tom met us in our hotel lobby on time and made a very good impression straight away. He took us on a drive downtown from which point onwards the tour was done by foot. Tom took us to interesting areas of the city, which we would never have found on our own. He also introduced us to the many symbols and their meaning in the Chinese culture and helped us discover these around the Yu Garden. Half way through the tour we did a tea ceremony, which was very impressive and tasty. For anyone wishing to spend half a day exploring Shanghai by foot, I can highly recommend contacting Tom. You will have a great time.
Hi Emilie Thank you for your kind review. I had a great time with the group. Wish you have a nice week in Shanghai! Regards Tom
