We've had a great day visiting the monastery in moldova. Our guide Lena was fluent in both russian and english. When driving to the monastery she could tell us so much information about the places we saw. When we arrived at the hills where the monastery is placed, we did a little hike up the mountain. We could see how traditional people live there ( I even tasted water from a well, which is much better than the water in the city lol). We had a nice dinner in a local restaurant there, where I had the best placinte I've ever had.
Natalia was a fantastic guide who really made sure I had a great experience. She is very knowledgeable about Moldova and is a great person to talk to. The tour was wonderfully organised.
My guide was Helen, a very experienced one, although she was still young. She picked me up on Time from my Hotel. She got already in touch with me through WhatsApp before. The trip was in a private car since I was alone. She gave time to make stops on the way for pictures and informed me about the history of Moldova very well. She brought me to a traditional Restaurant for my first traditional Moldovan food which was nice an interesting.
I had a wonderful day with Natalia - she picked me up from the city center and drove me personally out to Old Orhei. We had a nice talk along the way where I asked her about herself and about her life in Moldova and she told me more about the road we were traveling on and the surroundings, before we got to our destination. Once in Old Orhei, we visited the monastery and the new church and then I had a nice lunch in one of the village restaurants. This was a great way to get to see a preserved part of Moldovan life and be outdoors and away from the city. Highly recommend the tour and my guide, Natalia!
Beautiful experience with well informed guide, expert driver, amazing lunch. My thanks to Helena(sp?). Excellent way to see probably Moldova's #1 attraction in informative, respectful visit. Absolutely amazing lunch at Moldovan themed restaurant, great pick by guide.
A SACRED PLACE. I was surprised to learn of this sacred place of the Orthodox religion. It is simply spectacular and the solemnity of its monks in the caves praying for more than a millennium invariably puzzled me. Its enclave is similar to the Indiana Jones dexorates as it is known for its steven spilbrg location. IF YOU VISIT MOLDOVA IT IS A VISIT THAT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT
This was a great trip, my guide Natalia , was just great she was very friendly and just the best guide I could have had. She made my day and my holiday I just loved this tour lovely food which she ordered for me in a lovely setting,

Had a great tour with Vladimir. He was very informative and engaging and an overall wonderful guide who went out of his way to show me the best of his country. I would highly recommend this tour with Vladimir as your guide. The tour itself was also very good and the traditional meal that is included was absolutely wonderful.

Bad service in Viator
Trip was interesting and our guide Larissa was exellent. But Viator did not work well. We did not get any confirmation after paying the trip, or contracts to local agency, so we did not know when tripo starts etc. Finally I must make an expensive call to USA to get the information about the trip and our guide.

Our tour guide, Natalia, was extremely down to earth. She managed to carry the conversation both professionally speaking and personally. She adds unexpected nice touches to the tour--such as purchasing candles for you to light within the monastery.

The views from the Complex are beautiful and well worth the excursion outside of the city!

Our particular tour included an authentic Moldavian feast. You will not be disappointed in the quality of the restaurant hospitality and food. A definite highlight!
