All tours depend on the guide. Gabriel's attitude and willingness made this experience wonderful. It exceeded our expectations. What a rich siege. 100/10 thanks Gabriel
It stated Beaver Sightings, - this was correct however it would have been better to see more Beavers. The team were great, we walked through beautiful countryside after a special 4wd tour. The meal was very rustic, excellent steak.
They're gonna know places they couldn't easily access. It is beautiful the tour and all its stops. The stay, in the end, is a movie. Words apart for Gabriel, the guide, who was explaining us at all times. He prepared the mince and dinner himself (spectacular!!). And all with the best of airwaves!
Misleading, unprofessional, and nothing like advertised This tour was advertised as “Nature and Gastronomy: Beaver Watching with Gourmet Dinner.” What was delivered was fundamentally different from what was sold. The description promised a nighttime beaver-watching excursion in their natural habitat, a guided walk through the lenga forest to see burrows and dams, educational commentary, and a three-course gourmet dinner at Estancia El Carmen, with departure at 5:00 p.m. and return around 10:00 p.m. None of this was properly delivered. We were picked up at 3:00 p.m., not 5:00, in a regular car, not a tour vehicle. The driver introduced himself only as a driver, implying we would meet a guide later. We were then told we would pick up additional passengers, including a baby. The baby seat provided was unsafe, forcing us to drive around Ushuaia to find a replacement, wasting significant time. Only later did we discover that our tour had been combined with another family’s completely different booking without informing or obtaining consent from either party. The other family had booked a 4x4 off-road excursion, not a beaver tour. These are entirely different products, and combining them made it impossible to deliver either as advertised. The other family had even been encouraged the day before to switch schedules under the suggestion they might “also see beavers,” which strongly suggests this change was made purely for logistical convenience. After three hours in the car, including unannounced off-road driving, there had been no beaver watching, no forest walk, no guiding, and no educational information. When we asked about the plan, we were told the beavers were “sleeping” and that maybe we could see some after dinner — directly contradicting the entire purpose of a nighttime beaver-watching tour. At that point, we refused to continue. Despite this, the operator refused to assist us in returning to Ushuaia. We spent 1.5 hours waiting while being repeatedly told to wait “five more minutes” while someone tried to contact a manager — which never happened. Both groups, including the family with a baby, were left waiting with no information. Only then was it revealed that the same person was acting as driver, guide, and cook, something that was never disclosed in advance. There was no guiding or educational commentary at any point. The dinner was also falsely advertised. Instead of a three-course gourmet meal, we received: a small plate of cheese and salami, an overcooked steak with a simple salad and no dessert. Dinner was served at 9:30 p.m., despite being promised between 8:00 and 8:30, and we did not return to our hotel until midnight, not 10:00 p.m. as advertised. Additionally, we were never sent the promised tour details or voucher — only a pickup time. This experience involved misrepresentation, unilateral changes to a paid tour, failure to deliver contracted services, and a complete lack of professionalism. It was, without exaggeration, the worst tour experience I have ever had and a very expensive waste of time. I strongly advise future travelers to avoid this tour and company (Kaitek Viajes).
It is worth the experience to enjoy nature, explanations, dinner top... very well organized!!!
We did the 4x4 tour on a Sunday with Julio and Barbara and the experience was 10. They were attentive all the time to not lose anything and to explain everything we saw. Then we had dinner there on the shores of the swamp. It was a 10 experience. Hopefully everyone is encouraged because it is worth it:)
Very good experience of nature and view of lake landscape. The dinner was tasty. Nice and friendly tour guide.
Amazing experience! I've lived in Ushuaia for over 30 years and I've been delighted. I imagine for Non-residents it must be a thousand times better. The attention of the boys more than excellent, always attentive to our doubts and queries before the excursion. Gabril, our GUIDE, a CAPO!!!! He took the best pictures, told us curious facts, kept us attentive throughout the adventure! Super recommend! Luckily, we saw beavers on several tour opportunities!!! And the roast was the perfect close to a spectacular afternoon/night!!! WE LOVE!
