Nice tour sites and guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Only negative is there no break for lunch or despite it lasting from 8am-5pm. Thats a long day without option for food, thankfully we brought snacks. The beignet/coffee shop at the park stop was only Option and it took us 30 min in line and wasn’t even great, but that wasn’t until 4pm ish on tour at the end.
Guide was very insightful. Guide was always caring about the guest. Great experience and the tour was on time.
Wonderfully preserved property. Be prepared for the emotional effects of the history that this property played a part in during slavery. Would have preferred to have more time to view the exhibits and gift shops.
Tour & exhibits were very informative. Oak Ally is as beautiful as always. As an added feature, our driver stopped at edge of road to show us an alligator q
Interesting and fun activity. We learned a lot about the plantation. Wish we could take photos of the inside of house.
The plantation tour was awesome. Nice sceneries, the driver/guide Wanda was super informative and caring. Oak Alley Plantation is worth visiting! There is no time between tours. You are dropped off at the hotel and the pick up for the city tour happens right away. We struggled as we could not eat lunch. The city tour is just a mini bus going around town, the only stop is at the cemetery, which I could pass. We cut the tour short and hopped into an Uber to the St Louis Cathedral to have some actual sightseeing at the square. The whole family was disappointed with the second portion of the trip.
I would rate it a 0. Viator’s booking never got to the company. I had to call when the shuttle did not pick me up. I was told that the tour was cancelled.
The route along I10 is very bumpy and load. The plantation gardens, this time of year, weren't as vibrant as expected. The main house and buildings are well maintained and the movie about sugar cane was very informative. Those with "stair climbing" disability, are given a chance to watch a video on the upstairs rooms. Unfortunately our tour bus had mechanical difficulties on our way back. Another vehicle showed up to return passengers to Hotels. There was very little communication with the driver from pickup to return, strange feeling.
The plantation tour was good and served it's purpose. The only reason my review isn't less is that the first part was good. However, thecity tour guide was horrible and the tour wasn't about the rich history of New Orleans but about hurricanes
The New Orleans City Tour was excellent with Gary K! The trip to the plantation was not a very good experience. The driver did not explain ANYTHING and barely spoke! Drove way too fast and did not even announce drop off location when returning us to our hotels. We barely got off the bus and the doors were closing and he was driving off. No idea what his name was since he said NOTHING! This was the Tuesday trip with pickup for the plantation 8-8:30am.
