That they need to buy their tickets for the castle stifling and to ride on the Falkirk wheel. It was not included in the tour.
tickets for Stirling castle and the boat ride on the Falkirk wheel are not included
There were four of us. (Adults). We were picked up in a small sedan and had to experience an uncomfortable ride through the whole tour. Our expectation was for a guided tour but instead it felt like an Uber or Lift. We were told we would picked up by a man named David who would was 6'2", bald and wearing a Kilt. That was not the person who arrived.
I am sorry if you were disappointed with your experience . Private tours Edinburgh is proud of its professional standards. This tour was carried out in a professional way. Our guides have extensive knowledge and 8 years experience . The guide gave detailed information about the history and culture of each place we visited
beautiful iconic sculptures a must see ! Hard to imagine until you are looking at them. Incredible sculptures by a very talented artist
Thanks for your review
Loved seeing the Kelpies and the water wheel. Stirling Castle was difficult to walk around because of slippery, sloped walkways (I walk with a cane).
Thank you
The giant horse heads were bigger than I expected and very impressive. Stirling Castle is one of the best and most interesting castles we visited. And of course there is the Falkirk wheel. We spent 2+ weeks touring Scotland and this stop was one of the highlights. I recommend both the tour and this stop. The people were very friendly and eager to help when we had questions.

Day trip including, 3 bridges, village of Culross, Bannockburn site, Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument May 2024 William picked up the 6 of us at our hotel (Du Vin) in Edinburgh. Our first stop was South Queensferry and the viewing platform to see the 3 bridges from 3 different centuries that span the Firth of Forth. Then on to the picturesque village of Culross (used as a filming location for Outlander and other films). From there to the site of the battle of Bannockburn and the monument to Robert the Bruce. We then headed to Stirling Castle and admired the views of Stirling from the wall around the castle. Next was the Wallace Monument. We opted for the van ride to the top to admire even more spectacular views of the countryside below. Throughout the trip Willie (William Gavin) educated us regarding the kings, battles and geography of the area. His enthusiasm and love of Scotland was infectious. He tailored our excursion perfectly, taking into consideration some in our group with mobility challenges. We were dropped back at our hotel in Edinburgh after a wonderful day filled with beautiful sites and a better understanding of the history of the area.
Thanks for your review
David was very accommodating. We had very foggy weather in the morning and could not see the Kelpies so he adjusted our schedule so that we would be able to see them later in the day. He gave us extra time to get everything in which we really appreciated. There definitely was not enough time at Stirling Castle. This stop should be a minimum of two hours as the guided tour is one hour, then there is no extra time to see anything else. Overall, it was well worth the day.
thanks for your review . It was a bit foggy in the morning at the Kelpies but I was happy to take you back in the afternoon so you could see them in all their glory !
An inspirational experience, we had not even heard of these magnificent beasts, the whole experience was fun and informative. Our guide for the tour inside one of the sculptures was so well-informed and very enthusiastic, she made a very good presentation which kept the whole group spellbound.
thanks for your kind comments
Too much time at kelpies and Falkirk, not enough time at Stirling. Car was small for 4 people. Guide was polite and knowledgeable
I’m sorry if you felt there wasn’t enough time at Stirling . I will take on board your comments
These are spectacular structures to go and visit. Take a walk around by the canal and see how impressive these sculptures are up close. There is free parking close by with short walk. Disabled parking is also available and closer to the shop and structures. The gift shop has reasonably priced souvenirs.
