Technically the type of tour we did was 2 nights Petra, 2 nights Wadi Rum, 1 night Aqaba and 1 Dead Sea (with nights before and after tour in Amman). We put this trip together with ZaidCo's assistance in August of 2019 and it was supposed to take place in April of 2020. We all know why it wasn't allowed to happen then, so we stayed safe and just waited until things got better.... 2 vaccines and 3 boosters later, we finally got to have our Jordan trip 2 and a half years later. Everything went without a hitch, the schedule and our tour guide Khalid were excellent. Any time I had questions during the tour, Carol and team from ZaidCo would answer quickly. The tour was hopefully not once in a lifetime but we treated it as such. Jerash, Madaba, Mount Nebo, Shoubak Caste, Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba and the Dead Sea were all fantastic, all accommodations were great and everyone we met on the trip were very, very happy to welcome us to Jordan. Over the past two weeks, we've been made to feel very welcome. Todd and I know if we every get a chance to come back, we'll book another experience with ZaidCo. Nothing short of exceptional. A++++ One of the best experiences we have had. All credit goes to our lovely driver/guide FIRAS 👌🏼. Firas was very proffessional, punctual, knowledgeable, jolly & funny person. Zaid Tours, you are very lucky to have him as part of your team. We booked the tour through Viator so we did not know which tour company we joined. However, we were not disappointed for the most part. First of all, our tour guide, Amer, was wonderful. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. From the pick up at the airport to dropping us of at our last night hotel, he has been very helpful. Second, it was a private tour, just the 2 of us; so we were able to customize our tour to our delight and we did not feel rush at all. The only complaint that we had was the hotels. We selected the tour that were supposed to put us in 4 star superior hotels. The hotel in Amman was okay, we would say 3 stars. The hotel in Petra was the best and would qualified for 4 stars. For the night at the desert, we stayed in a camp; it was a unique experience and we enjoyed. The night at Aqaba was the worst, we would not rate it more than 2 stars. The hotel was run down and dated. The food was horrible and almost inedible. The service was almost to none; we asked for more hangers and towels 3 times with no responses. The phone was not connected; our guide was not able to call us. And there was only wifi in the lobby which was very small; there were hardly any place to sit down. In addition, the beach was more than 5 minutes away. The 2 stars were for the pool and location.

The hotel classifications and categories are certified by the Jordanian Hotel Association. As mentioned in the description of 4-star superior class hotels we clearly state that its different than the classification in the US. This is the sentence accompanied to the mentioned category and printed on your voucher. “Superior: Tour includes 8 nights in a ‘superior-class’ hotel. Hotel grades in Jordan differ to those used in other Western countries, but typically ‘superior-class’ hotels are of a 4-star superior.” We would also like to point out that liking the hotels are based on expectations. From your comments we can see that the issue was with the Aqaba hotel. In the future please contact us immediately while on ground in order to resolve any expectations with any hotel during your stay. In Aqaba this hotel under the 4 stars superior hotel category is the closest to the beach, we have forwarded your comments to the Aqaba hotel as we always strive for perfection and improvement. You’re also encouraged to rate the hotels on their direct TripAdvisor listing as they are a third-party supplier not owned by us as your comments of them on our company listing doesn’t reflect on them.
