Paolo was a wonderful guide. When the trains had problems, he found a way to still get us our whole experience and his expertise, enthusiasm and English were all wonderful.
Pompei was good but the map wasn't the best. You need to take a tour but they wanted 250.00 euros for a guide that was too much. Herculaneum was reasonably priced and the tour guide was 100 euros for an hour.
Paulo was brilliant and made sure that we had a great time. He was great at including our kids; despite how annoying they were.
My two friends and I spent a truly delightful and informative day with our guide Paolo as we explored Pompeii and Herculaneum. From the moment we met up with Paolo at the Sorrento train station we knew we had hit the jackpot. Friendly, engaging, funny and knowledgeable, Paolo made the ruins come to life with historical information and storytelling. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
Absolutely incredible. Paolo was so knowledgeable and made the tour so interactive and fun. He gave us opportunities to interact with the city and guess what objects might be so it felt like we were apart of the tour and not just having things told to us. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and expertly showed us around both cities, missing every line and seeing little details most people would miss.
Excellent guide Paolo - brought the sites to life - thoroughly recommend - weather was a bit wet unfortunately, but still we're well entertained
