We had Zoltan (I think that’s how you spell it), and he was amazing and had a wealth of knowledge to share with us throughout the trip. Him and the driver (Jacques/Jack) constantly made sure everything on the bus was comfortable. At the arrival points, we had ample of time to walk through with his amazing commentary and anecdotes. Highly recommend.
I felt like I was on a minibus ride around Normandy rather than a D-Day tour. Our tour guide seemed unfamiliar with the sites and their historical significance. On top of that, the guide and the driver spent much of the journey shouting and arguing with each other, which made the experience very unpleasant.
Very knowledgeable, I had always wanted to see where D-Day took place and to see Normandy. What a beautiful part of France. I would highly recommend this trip to others.
Dear Paula, Thank you so much for your comment! We’re glad to know that you enjoyed your day trip to Normandy! And we’re also thankful that you would recommend this tour to anyone visiting France! Long ride to/from Paris to Pointe du Hoc, but once you get there well worth the drive. Very informative & patriotic look at our involvement in DDay
Dear Cheryl, Thank you for sharing your experience! We're so glad the visit to Pointe du Hoc lived up to the journey! We're also thrilled to hear the tour gave you an informative and meaningful look at the D-Day story! We hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable experience! Kind regards, Extime Travel (formerly Paris City Vision)
We had a wonderfully knowledgeable guide who, when I asked what would my grandfather would have seen when he landed 6 days later, he said “a massive storm” that did a lot of damage to the area. He was also able to tell me a bit about the fighting down at St Malo, where my grandfather was wounded. Our guide was to discuss not just the day of the landing, but also things that happened miles and days apart. Zoltan was a wonderful guide!
Dear Nancy, Thank you so much for sharing this feedback with us! We're so glad Zoltan was able to bring your grandfather's experience to life by connecting his knowledge to your family's history! It's moments like these that make our tours so special! We look forward to welcoming you again in the future! Kind regards, Extime Travel (formerly Paris City Vision)
We were not happy with the end of the tour. There were 3 parties of two who were picked up in the morning and taken to the bus. That worked great. I booked this tour for the hotel pick-up and drop-off service. When we returned, the tour guide knew nothing about transport back to our hotel for any of the 3 groups of 2. She called the office and the office said that they knew nothing about hotel transport, even though we were picked up in the morning. All 6 of us left unhappy and felt that we were not getting the service that we paid for. I personally incurred a cab fare of 30 Euros for transport of my girlfriend and I to our hotel. As far as the actual tour goes, our guide was very good. She was extremely knowledgeable and provided much background on World War II, not just the D-Day landings. The tour stopped at Point Du Hoc. This stop required some walking to see the German Command Bunker. Located between Utah and Omaha beaches, it provided a good vantage point of the landing zones. We them rode over to Omaha Beach. There was not too much walking there. From Omaha, the tour went to the American Cemetery. This was a very moving stop. It was a long walk to the cemetery gravesite – but it was on paved a paved path, with benches. It would have been a plus to have a little more time at this site. From there, we went to Arromanches-les-Bains. A local resort town for lunch and shopping. The restaurant was slow and took the entire hour allotted for the strop. I managed to get a couple of souvenirs by excusing myself from the table and quickly visiting a nearby shop while lunch was being prepared. From there we went to Juno Beach and then headed back to Paris. The Tour made a stop at a highway rest area about half-way in each direction. This was a nice opportunity to use restrooms and get something to eat or drink. The Normandy beaches were about 4 hours from Paris. The bus was comfortable and clean. I am giving this tour a low rating because of the hotel drop off issue.
Amazing, friendly, helpful, very informative guide and the bus driver were kept us safe and they were both very patience.
Dear Marites, Thank you so much for your comment! We’re so glad to know that the service provided by our team met your expectations! We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again in the future! Kind regards, Extime Travel (formerly Paris City Vision)
The bus was extremely small and uncomfortable for such a long ride! There were stops, that helped, but there also was no bathroom on the bus! Again there were stops so not that much of a problem. This tour should have been in a large comfortable bus! It was expensive also. The sights where we were taken were great, and was happy to see them. But we were rushed because of how long a trip we had. The tour guide was very nice, he recommended a restaurant that was good, but nothing can make that bus trip be ok!
Dear Janet, Thank you for your comment. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the places you visited and that the day was to your liking. We work with highly skilled professionals, as we care about the quality we offer to our customers. Regarding your comments about the bus, we are sorry that it did not meet your expectations. We will forward your feedback to the relevant department so that improvements to the vehicle can be addressed. We hope to see you again soon. Kind regards, Extime Travel (formerly Paris City Vision)
Absolutely extraordinary wonderful experience on this tour Our guide very knowledgeable about the history and everything that brought America and Europe to this point. Great driver and again great tour guide. What we liked about him? He was very matter of fact, and he kept people on time and in a group like that that’s very important. He did a wonderful job again the tour very very much worth it.
