The management of the visit is embarrassing; everything is focused on making money. The ticket price is high, but the experience inside the house was terrible. Overcrowding, chaos, ineffective audio guide, not to mention the 'offered' prosecco in the middle of the house and the visit: more than a cultural event, it felt like a little party with strangers. Moreover, most of the house is not accessible, and from the second floor up, one could hear live music of poor taste played on the roof, exclusively for those who wanted to pay even more, which disturbed the visit. It's a shame because the house deserves more respect.
This is a really cool place to visit. Gaudi was brilliant in his own way and this house is something you have to see; any description or pictures won't do. The queueing process is pretty efficient, and they have a lot of staff directing traffic at the entrance. Your ticket line (blue, silver, gold, platinum) is well-signed. When entering, you get a little iPad-like tablet that provides info (pictures of what the various rooms looked like when the house was occupied). The instructions provided are quick and, honestly, incomplete. There are icons to touch to activate narration as you enter various rooms; the timing of when to touch them was unclear and led to confusion. By luck we found (by touching the screen) that there were hidden treasures to see on the screen - but no instruction was provided. Our ticket included champagne in one of the rooms. There were alternates available, but staff gave little time to select one of those before handing you the glass. I'm not sure of the reasoning or value of this. We ended on the rooftop for a one-hour performance under the lights (in June, your ticket had to be after 8pm for it to be dark). The singer and sax player performed for a bit over an hour - it was very entertaining as we had a perfect night. We also had entry to the cube as part of our ticket. Know it's the last thing you do on your way out. No way to describe it - very cool. Overall great experience. My review subtracted one star because I think they could do better regarding the informational tablet each guest gets.
Beautiful visit I was there in November for the basic tour (blue) and then, in May, I returned for the gold tour with my partner. We took the package with the rooftop show. Excellent visit, excellent service It is superb, I recommend everything to you. Both the basic tour and the superior one are great. It depends on your needs and expectations.
Its worth having the Gold Ticket immersive experience with the tablet audio guided tour of the unique Casa Batllo before the rooftop concert. We were lucky to have an entertaining performance by the wonderful Alex D. who sung Soul, funk and disco hits then sung audience requests.A warm spring evening siping a glass of cava on the roof of the Casa Batllo was truly Magical!
The opportunity to visit Casa Batllo during evening hours was magical. The length of the tour of the building was too rushed.
The idea initially seemed very pleasant and nice, but as always, there were too many people, too many tourists, and above all, they do not explain things as they are. The photographs show a terrace with people enjoying a drink, and you are supposed to be able to have it while listening to the concert. However, it turns out that NO, the drink is given to you on the first floor in a room that does not have access to the outside. They prohibit you from taking the drink to the rooftop, so you have to quickly drink that glass of sparkling wine, which is quite bad, by the way. That said, when you reach the rooftop, there is a not very economical bar where, for an additional payment, you can have drinks there as many as you want. Once the performance is over, which was very pleasant, there is a bottleneck on the stairs going down; there are five floors of narrow stairs with a crowd included. In short, I felt like a common tourist.
Beautiful house but too crowded and app with misleading advertising. Through questions they recognize points to accumulate to redeem a gift (poster and / or notebook) and then when you go to collect it they ask you to spend at least 50 euros to get it
I can't actually comment on the experience itself as we arrived at 9:33. The website clearly states that the establishment is open until 10:30. However, the lady rudely reiterated that it was "impossible" for us to slip in the back. It should be noted that there was awful traffic due to construction in the area which was not accounted for by our rideshare application or known to us as tourists visiting. There was no humanity or understanding in the interaction.. she just continued to turn a blind eye to us. Therefore, if you are planning to go to this establishment - I recommend that you arrive extremely early as there appears to be a zero tolerance policy even though life doesn't always work out the way we plan despite our best efforts.
The Winter Night tour was visually breath-taking (audio-guide also great addition to the whole storyline), simply amazing experience.
This place will divide opinion. We booked four gold tickets as a treat for our first night in Barcelona. I wish we hadn’t. Far too busy, far too gimmicky, far too hot and FAR too expensive. This is designed as an all singing and dancing amusement attraction for tourists. Tour was like a theme park ride. AR and lighting very distracting. Concert music on rooftop was mediocre and only 35 mins not the advertised hour. We genuinely found better, more passionate and authentic music from buskers the following day. I wish we hadn’t spent the money (almost £300 for 1.5hrs) If you like amusement park type experiences then go for it!! If you are interested in art culture and architecture probably best to just look from the outside!!
