As a group of Four friends we had the best time on the nocturnal encounters trip, we were there only people on the trip so thanks for still running it. Met a group of kangaroos within minutes, multiple possums and were lucky with a clear and calm evening. The guys are so passionate about what they do and are so knowledgeable. Great evening
This was a real highlight of our stay in Margaret River. The guys are great and really know their stuff. It was such fun meeting all the nocturnal wildlife — and we got to feed the young kangaroos!
We are not new to this tour, but we never tire of it. Every time we visit Margaret River with family or friends, we always recommend Mick and Ryan’s Nocturnal Walk. They are a wealth of knowledge, incredibly respectful of the wildlife, aboriginal culture and create such an engaging experience for all ages. We’ve done this tour several times with our children from aged 1 - 18 who says , its his favourite part of Margaret river. An absolute must do
This 2.5-hour night tour was absolutely worth it! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Busselton. The tour includes convenient pickup and drop-off right at our accommodation, which made the whole experience effortless. Our guide, Mike, was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly very familiar with the local environment and wildlife habitats. He made the tour engaging and memorable by encouraging us to interact with the animals whenever possible. We were truly delighted by this unique experience and so glad we joined this tour. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!
A truly memorable nocturnal tour that felt like a completely new way of experiencing the bush. Walking into the forest as daylight faded was surreal, and it was fascinating to see nocturnal animals emerge. The bandicoot and possum were especially interesting—being able to observe them up close, and even gently touch the possum’s fur, was an unforgettable highlight. The torch-lit bush walk added an element of adventure while also allowing us to learn about the local flora, fungi, and even spiders along the way. Reaching the open clearing for stargazing was magical. We were incredibly fortunate to witness a meteor streak across the night sky, which made the experience feel truly heavenly. Seeing the Milky Way and learning about the Southern Cross added to the wonder of the evening. The guides were patient, knowledgeable, and generous with their explanations throughout the tour. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and my son especially had a delightful and educational time. Highly recommend!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the Nocturnal Wildlife Tour from Busselton! It was such an interesting experience to get so close and personally interact with the nocturnal animals. Mick and Ryan are fantastic, highly knowledgeable guides who shared great insights throughout the evening. It's a wonderful, unique tour that we highly recommend!
The only thing that outshone Mick’s knowledge was the attendance of the wildlife. An absolutely amazing few hours. The door to door service is an excellent idea & very helpful. Thank you.
We met with Mick and were the only people on the tour. He was extremely knowledgeable and chatty and pointed out many interesting plants including ones used by indigenous people for bush tucker, medicinal and other purposes. We saw and patted adorable kangaroos and watched possums and bandicoots. He showed us some constellations and other interesting things, I won’t give away all the surprises! Mick knows so much about the area and makes an excellent cuppa. This was my favourite tour on our trip and I’ve seen some amazing stuff.

Ryan picked us up from our accommodation and drove us to the property where the tour operates. Absolutely amazing tour. Saw and fed kangaroos, quendas and possums. We were treated to bush tea and a ride home was included. So much fun. I recommend dressing for the weather and bushwalking.

This was a fantastic experience. It was only myself and my two daughters this evening. Ryan knows his stuff and the kids had an absolute blast. It was so lovely to feed the kangaroos and get up (respectfully) close with a couple of possums. Saw loads of frogs and spiders, quendas and heard all the tales of the roos who came up. Highly recommend. My daughter wants to give it a million stars
