There was a max of eight of us with our guide we left right from the shore immediately into a coral Garden and it really was an amazing experience, also the water was never above our heads and not much current, guide is very knowledgeable if you are an experienced night snorkeler this probably is not for you but for all of the people in our tour we're a bit afraid and intimidated and this was perfect - easy made you feel safe and it was definitely a different experience from snorkeling during the day! And I was wondering why we needed a wetsuit but honestly we needed a wet suit so plan on wearing a wet suit (included in price of excursion) because the water is much more chilly after the sun goes down.Super cool, super safe. Highly recommend!!!!

Joaquin gave us an absolutely incredible night dive experience! My husband and I saw so many amazing creatures—fish, eels, and even octopus—and every moment felt like an underwater adventure. He was knowledgeable, calm, and made us feel completely at ease the entire time. It was such a blast and easily one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend!

Such a unique experience. If you enjoy snorkeling, doing a night time snorkel is a must do. I was on the fence- slightly scared of dark water. But I could not have been more wrong! Not scary at all! We saw octopus, eel, crabs, shrimp. Lots of things you’d never see during the day. Such a fun experience. If you’re on the fence- just do it! I’ll add pictures but my cheap camera was blurry, the water was very clear.

Very friendly helpful guide seemed very knowledgeable

We had an incredible experience with Moorea Dark Water Tours! This was one of the most unique and memorable activities of our trip. We are avid snorkelers and have spent a lot of time in the water, but this was unlike anything we had ever done before. Nighttime snorkeling in the open ocean was both thrilling and fascinating, and we felt completely safe throughout the entire experience. Our guide, Joaquin, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and did an amazing job spotting and pointing out marine life that we never would have noticed on our own. Thanks to him, we had the chance to see multiple octopuses, a crab, a shrimp, an eel, and many different kinds of unique fish. The whole experience felt like exploring another world after dark. Joaquin did an excellent job as our night time snorkel guide. We had the worst weather but when you are in the ocean, it doesn’t matter. He carefully explained many of the things we would see and pointed out any that were not safe to touch. He also did a great job of setting expectations in regards to what we would and probably wouldn’t see. He even had an extra mask when mine wasn’t sealing well that he lent me. Highly recommend.

Magical evening, second night dive for me and a discovery for my wife. She had the apprehension of night diving and she was only delighted to have discovered this exceptional experience. It is always a unique and incredible moment, and you are filled with wonder. Joaquin knows his work very well and has guided us wonderfully. What can I say except that it is an unmissable activity. A superb experience. Night snorkeling is worth the trip, especially when it involves swimming only by the light of the moon. Joaquin is very accommodating. As soon as he sees something, he calls out to us. I recommend.
