This trip was absolutely amazing. I am an ultimate beginner at almost 50 years old and I found that it was absolutely doable for me even though I was in the back of the line the whole time. I found a good laugh about that and everyone was really kind and one of the leaders stayed in the back with me too. I can’t remember names well, but our leaders were fantastic. They were very knowledgeable and they gave us the best sightings and the best locations, even when there were potential storms coming our way and they kept us safe. Highly recommend and totally want to do again.
Tons of fun. Guides super knowledgeable and friendly. Bats were awesome sight to see. Even a novice kayaker can do this.
When I read the description I honestly thought it would be just a history lesson and a view of some bats in their habitat but it was so amazing seeing them fly and learning from very knowledgeable ladies on different birds and their territories and behaviors. It was so worth it. I had a tone of fun. And it was my first time kayaking. Took some getting used to but I was well taken care of and was given great advice.
Our guides were very personable and had a lot of info to share about the area and birds before dusk and the bat flight. It was very peaceful and enjoyable kayaking around the lake. I had not experienced a bat flight when you are literally in their environment, and some flew very close to us as we sat on the water. It was one of my favorite experiences of my 3 week vacation. My husband had gotten injured and could not go, but they told him about driving over to the other side to a dock where he could watch the bats exit the cave. I appreciated their concern so that his evening was not a waste. I loved it.
Such a great tour! Our guide, Katie, was wonderful. She had so much knowledge about the area and the bats. She made sure everyone was safe, and she was helpful to everyone. The only downside to the trip was that there were no bathrooms available at the lake. It was only a minor inconvenience, and the awesome experience was so worth it!
The best experience I could have asked for! My teenage boys loved it and the guide was awesome. Definitely sharing with others about the amazing adventure this was, and Chattanooga Guided Adventures is a great local company and the guide was knowledgeable about local wildlife, history and others area trails and spots to explore.
Learned about the bats and so much more. Wonderful family experience. Easy paddle, warm water. Great guides
The guides were great. It was pricey for what it was.
Had a GREAT time. Guides explained everything very well for us as we are begginers. They were also very knowledgeable on all the wildlife and history of the tour. Very breath taking views. Wonderful time would definitely recommend.
Great experience, saw an Osprey family and what we thought was an otter. The bats were so cute. Our guides were amazing and made getting in and out of the kayaks easy even though I use crutches. Great guides and really cool thing to do. Absolutely worth it!
