Nossa primeira parada é o templo de Deméter Além do impressionante monumento, você terá a chance de visitar o museu arqueológico. Continuamos nosso passeio e fazemos nossa próxima parada em Damalas, uma pequena vila no coração do vale de Tragea, onde desfrutaremos de uma demonstração na única oficina de cerâmica tradicional remanescente e na tradicional prensa de azeite restaurada. Em seguida, dirigimos para Chalki, onde você pode caminhar por becos pitorescos. Em seguida, seguimos para a mais antiga igreja bizantina de Panagia Drossiani Nossa próxima parada é a vila mais famosa de Naxos, Apiranthos, a “vila de mármore”. Dirigimos em direção à parte norte da ilha de Naxos e terminamos na borda nordeste de Naxos, na vila de Apollonas, uma pequena vila típica das Cíclades, ideal para nadar ou simplesmente relaxar nos vários cafés à beira-mar. No caminho de volta, paramos na impressionante estátua de Kouros e depois voltamos para Chora, seguindo a costa norte-noroeste da ilha, apreciando a vista da torre Agia e das ilhas Cíclades do Norte.

Este magnífico templo foi feito exclusivamente com mármore de Naxos da melhor qualidade e remonta ao século VI aC.
A pequena aldeia de Damalas, espalhada em forma de anfiteatro no sopé da colina de Lagos no vale de Tragea, é visível de muitos outros locais da ilha e oferece vistas fantásticas.
A aldeia de Halki em Naxos (ou Chalki) está localizada na área central da região de Tragea, a maior área de cultivo de oliveiras das Cíclades, a 16 km da cidade de Naxos. Halki tem uma longa história e já foi a capital de Naxos, bem como seu principal centro administrativo e comercial.
Apollonas em Naxos é uma linda vila de pescadores. Tem o nome de Apolo, o deus olímpico da luz e da música, e é habitado desde os tempos antigos.
A notável estátua de um Kouros está localizada fora da aldeia de Melanes, na zona rural de Naxos.

A great day out ...well organised and saw a lot of the island Plenty of stops but it all fitted together well
Eric (our knowledgeable tour guide) and Demetrius (our rock star driver) provided us with a fun, uphill and downhill tour of their beautiful island, historical sites, picturesque towns, including visits to a pottery shop, olive oil tastings, and a sandy beach. It was a fantastic day, one of the best on our trip to GREECE. This tour almost did not happen has my husband was sick on our scheduled tour day and Eric so graciously was able to shift our booking to a couple of days later. Without this consideration, we would have left Naxos without seeing the natural beauty of the island and meeting so many lovely people. Thank you Eric and Demitrious for your joy and hospitality. We have so many lovely memories.
We really enjoyed the course of the day. It was really beautiful, the bus driver a really very experienced person, our guide very attentive, available and interesting. A great experience!
Ticket said "pickup at hotel" but we had to go to tour cos. offices and walk down to coach. Nice tour round and information from guide.

The tour guide was very informative. It is unfortunate that the weather did not cooperate as we missed the scenic view on the way back due to rain. A special thanks to the bus driver and his navigational skills on the narrow roads.

I couldn't recommend this tour highly enough! Our guide Vicky and our driver Janus were superb (Vicky for her knowledge and interesting facts and Janus for skillfully navigating the narrow roads of Naxos.) Not only did I learn a lot about the island, but the stops brought us to some breathtaking villages and sights: I'd highly recommend the tour for people on a shorter holiday as you can pack in a lot of sights in a way that'd be much harder to arrange on your own if you didn't have the time. The bus was old and the armrests on our seats were broken. The guide was excellent. The stop for lunch was in a small town with really nothing to do. The lunch break should be in the Town before where there was more to do and better lunch options.

We chose this excursion because it had to have a Guide speaking French. Now the Guide did not speak a word of French. it is clearly a deception about the goods.
This was wonderful tour. We learned all about the marble production and carving methods in ancient times. I really liked the visit to the old town (Halki, I believe) and the visit to the small church. Our group was well treated. Our guide at times was hard to understand, however was very knowledgeable about the area and made sure we all felt satisfied with the content of the tour.
