Our guide, Labrina, was great! Friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable! We especially enjoyed the olive oil tasting and wine!
Our tour guide was amazing, she was very knowledgeable and gave us great stories of Naxos, Greece and the surrounding land, towns and history as well as the sites we visited, while allowing us time to take photos on the tours and was very professional, lovely lady, transport had great AC as well, walks were managable and the food tasting was sublime! Best wine I have ever tasted, and have been searching for the Koroneiki epirroes olive oil to buy for home since!
A very fascinating, in-depth tour of Naxos town touching on Greek mythology and stopping for wine and snacks. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and great with the kids in our group—she got them involved and interested and was very patient with the youngest child when his attention span decreased after a long day! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the beautiful island of Naxos.
Cancelled the tour with zero notice but still charged me. I was waiting at the meeting point for quite some time. I called the company and asked if the tour was still happening, to which they replied, “yes it is, just stay where you are”. Finally, the woman working at the bus station took pity on me and called the guide who was meant to be there, and only then did she tell me the tour had been cancelled. I don’t know if trip advisor dropped the ball or if the guide decided on her own that the tour wouldn’t be happening, but the experience was very upsetting, given that they still charged me. This was a solo trip for my birthday, and while I understand that things happen, not letting folks know what is going on, especially with enough time to plan something else for the few days they are here, was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional.
We had the most magical tour with our guide Maria who was exceptionally knowledgeable about Naxos and the Greek myths. She perfectly weaved the stories of gods and heroes in with the history of the ancient sites to bring it all to life in a spellbinding way. Maria's respect and love for people, nature, the island and its history shone through and she was a genuine delight to spend our morning with. Thank you Maria!!
We really wanted to visit all the archeological sites of the island and this tour was the perfect choice!! We started the day enjoying a great brunch which had a lot of local delicacie! We spent most of our tour going from village to village to admire the ancient temples of Naxos where we learned lots about the island's mythology and history from our guide. This was our second tour during our visit on the island by Naxos Cultural Tours and we enjoyed it too!
My husband and I love mythology and good wine, so when we saw this tour, we knew we had to take it. The tour was well-organised, interesting and with a touch of past and present, since our guide linked tradition with ancient practices so well. The wine was excellent and the tastings were all unique, we enjoyed the local products and learnt so much about the island!! I definetely recommend this tour!!
We have visited Naxos several times in the past for vacations and loved it. But we have never seen it through the lens of history and mythology. So my daughter and I decided to do a half-day private guided tour. It was a wonderful experience! We visited four really interesting sites and learned a lot about Naxian history and culture. Our guide, Evdoxia, was very knowledgeable, engaging and fun to be with. Highly recommended!
Our tour with Katia and our driver was nothing short of terrific! My kids love Greek mythology, and Katia did a wonderful job keeping them engaged throughout the entire tour! She also took amazing family photos for us as well! I highly recommend this wonderful tour!
An INCREDIBLE experience!! Right away Katia felt like family and was so knowledgable and fun to be around! We went on this tour expecting to just learn more about Naxos and its history, but Katia really takes it to another level! The experience was immersive, educational, really intriguing and fun! I would highly recommend any of Naxos' Cultural Tours because of their attention to detail and the deep historical knowledge. Can't wait to go on another tour!
