Good. Take the time to set up and use the app when it's your first time, and then it goes smoothly after that.
Worth it to explore the interesting bits of Nantes but the audio narration was too verbose — stick to the facts. Some audio narrations were triggered at the wrong place and the description of the statue of Jules Verne having one hand on a globe didn’t match the actual statue, which was just a bust.
This self guided tour gave me a different perspective of Nantes. Seeing Les Anneaux along the Loire was such a cool moment, especially in the evening. The Carrousel of the Marine Worlds looked magical in real life. The stories in the app wasn’t too long or boring, which I appreciated. It felt like exploring with quiet guidance rather than following a strict plan.
I usually avoid big tour groups, so this was perfect. The app guided me through beautiful squares and past some really impressive Gothic buildings. The memorial for the Abolition of Slavery was powerful and made me stop for a while. Sometimes I walked ahead of the audio by mistake, but it was easy to adjust. It felt flexible and simple to use.
I downloaded the app not expecting much, but it actually surprised me. The route was well planned and didn’t feel confusing. Walking from the Botanical Garden to the Château des Ducs de Bretagne felt very natural. I liked that I could pause the audio whenever I wanted. The Machines de l’île was definitely a highlight for me. Overall, it made exploring Nantes feel easy and not stressful at all.
I wasn’t sure about using an app for a walking tour, but I’m glad I tried it. The Château des Ducs de Bretagne was impressive, and the Botanical Garden was a nice calm start. Les Anneaux at sunset looked beautiful. There were small details and hidden spots that made the experience special. It didn’t feel like a basic tourist activity, it felt more personal and fun.
This tour made exploring Nantes feel simple and organized. The route was clear and easy to follow, even when I got slightly distracted taking photos. The elegant squares and small streets were charming and not too crowded. I liked that the app shared little stories I wouldn’t have known otherwise. It was a very relaxed way to spend the afternoon.
What I really appreciated was the mix of old and modern in this tour. One moment you’re looking at Gothic cathedrals and memorials, and the next you’re standing near Les Anneaux along the Loire. The memorial honoring the Abolition of Slavery was very moving. The audio guide gave enough detail but wasn’t overwhelming. I feel like I understood Nantes more deeply after this walk.
This self-guided tour was ideal for me because I prefer doing things on my own schedule. The Machines de l’île was absolutely amazing, especially seeing the giant mechanical elephant in person. The Carrousel of the Marine Worlds was something I’ve never seen before. The app sometimes took a second to load, but overall it worked fine. It felt like having a guide without the pressure of a group.
I used the Trippy Tour Guide app while visiting Nantes and it honestly made my day much better. Starting at the Botanical Garden was so peaceful and relaxing. Then walking towards the Château des Ducs de Bretagne felt like stepping into another time. The stories in the app were interesting and easy to follow. I liked that I could explore at my own speed without feeling rushed. It made the city feel more alive.
