Our guide, Miniko, was wonderful She did a great job explaining not only the sights we visited, but also the history and culture. Her knowledge, storytelling, and ability to bring each location to life made the entire day both enjoyable and meaningful. She was warm, engaging, and happy to answer our many questions throughout the day. One of our favorite moments was when Miniko took us to her favorite local Chinese merchant-a tiny little shop tucked away in an alley that we never would have found on our own. There we enjoyed what may have been the best pork dumplings we’ve ever had. Experiences like that are exactly what make a great guide exceptional. We feel very fortunate to have had Miniko as our guide and would highly recommend her to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for making our day so memorable!
The Peace Park and Atomic Bomb Museum are a must do in Nagasaki. I thought this experience would be depressing and difficult, but Shasha, our amazing guide shared her knowledge and insights about Nagasaki’s hopes for future and generations of people the world over who have the same hope for peace after experiencing and learning of the devastation war caused here. Dont miss the Memorial Museum!
Haruka was a great tour guide! The gardens were beautiful. Wasn't as tiring as I thought with my bad knee after the fall. She took us thru trams and we grunted it out like locals. Lots of fun!
Our guide, KEI, planned a team/walking tour of high points in Nagasaki. She was very informative of the history and had planned the walk prior to our arrive. She had the tram tickets and entry tickets readily available.
Reina was a most friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable tour guide. Our discussions with her were as interesting as the places we visited. She spoke English very well and had a lot of knowledge about many topics which made it easy to engage in conversation. We had a most enjoyable afternoon with her.
HIS KYUSHU and Reina our guide was easily an excellent choice for our 5 hour tour of Nagasaki sights. The personal approach and friendly manner made our stay in Nagasaki most meaningful and special. I highly recommend. Thank you, Reina.
We had an amazing tour guide. She showed us around Nagasaki and answered all our questions regarding the atomic bomb and showing us each of the statues in the peace garden. Had plenty of time so it was nice to take it at our own pace… Would definitely recommend the tour!!
Our guide was at the cruise terminal to meet us with a smile. Using the local tram system, we headed for Peace Park, a place of beauty and reflection with many beautiful sculptures given by countries around the world, surrounded by a garden full of flowers. We then walked to the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum - a stark contrast and a harrowing reminder of the devastation caused by the atomic bomb in 1945. Our guide had great historical knowledge and was able to answer all our questions. She then took us back to the tram and headed for Glover Gardens by way of Spectacle Bridge. The gardens were delightful and, being high up, offered superb view of the harbour. In all, we had a lovely time, thanks to our pleasant and knowledgable guide Nakayama Minami. Thank you for our time with you in Nagasaki!
We had a fantastic day in Nagasaki on this tour. The Atomic Bomb Museum and Peace Park were incredibly sad but a ‘must see’. Unfortunately we had an extremely foggy day so we couldn’t see the view from Mt Inasa. Our guide Susumu was amazing…so knowledgeable and patient. Would highly recommend this tour if you have a day in Nagasaki
Despite the sadness associated with Nagasaki, we had the most fun day traveling the city on trams, interacting with the locals and expertly guided by Kats. Kats shared his local knowledge, and his family history and created the most special day for us.
