Museu do Prado antes da excursão VIP Small Group

We lucked into this tour after our other tour operator, Feel the City, canceled our booking last minute. This tour was almost twice the price, but it was still an excellent value. Our tour guide, Maria, was fantastic. She was exceptionally knowledgeable about the museum and art and spent 1.5 hours with our group of 11. Since she has intimate knowledge about the museum, she was able to efficiently guide us through the museum with ease and take the appropriate time to provide history, context, and in depth information about each artwork we viewed. Plus, between 9 and 10 AM, there is virtually no one in the museum so there was no problem getting close up to the art! From 10 - 10:30 AM, people started coming in, but the security check meters them in modestly. We stayed after our tour, took a brief rest at the café, and were able to get to see as much as we wanted for this trip. By time we left around 12:30, the museum was very busy and difficult to get close to some of the great works without waiting. We knew we made the right choice to take this tour and would do it again! It is definitely the best way to see the Prado!

Guided early tour with Alfonso, only five in the group. He carefully noted the background , history and intricacies of the paintings, how it affected and inspired other artists. He brought together the different influences so that it flowed with the style and design that lead to the new creations. very enjoyable

An excellent tour of the Prado and one of the highlights of our time in Madrid. David was extremely knowledgeable and informative, giving us not only a wonderful insight into the artworks but also fascinating historical context. It felt like we were getting both a history lesson and an art lesson. Having a private tour before the museum opened to the public was particularly special. We were able to take our time and really appreciate the masterpieces without the usual crowds and noise. David was engaging, passionate and clearly very knowledgeable. It was well worth the cost and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Prado.

Excellent tour! Davide was extremely informative, giving us not only an art lesson but also a fascinating history lesson. It was wonderful to be able to take our time and appreciate the masterpieces without the crowds. The early access made the experience even more special, and it was absolutely worth the cost.

David was a fantastic guide explaining interesting facts and histories behind the arts. I highly recommend this tour. It was great to see the amazing paintings before the museum open to public.

This tour is the best way to experience the Prado. Our small group was led through the vacant rooms by Beatriz. We were able to get close to the major works and she explained the composition and history of each work which was fascinating. There is so much detail that we miss when we just glance at a painting. As the tour finishes the people start arriving and you are able to stay as long as you want. I recommend having a coffee break in the cafe at this point as you will also beat the crowds. Unfortunately photography is forbidden but it does give you are chance to focus on the paintings and not be distracted taking photos. Beatriz was an excellent guide and her knowledge of art history made the tour extremely interesting and enjoyable.
