Localizado ao longo da Estrada Nacional 6 entre o centro da cidade de Siem Reap e o aeroporto internacional, o War Museum Cambodia (anteriormente o Siem Reap War Museum) abrange mais de 2 hectares. IT foi fundada em 2001 e renomeada em 2013 com grandes renovações a partir de 2015 para preservar e restaurar exposições
Wat Thmei é um pequeno, mas importante sítio memorial em Siem Reap, construído para homenagear as vítimas do passado trágico do Camboja sob o regime Khmer Rouge. Localizado dentro do terreno de uma pagoda budista funcional, ele contém uma stupa de vidro cheia de crânios e ossos daqueles que perderam suas vidas. Os visitantes podem ver exibições que explicam a história escura do Camboja, enquanto também experimentam a atmosfera pacífica do terreno do templo onde os monges continuam sua vida diária. Lançado em março de 2023 e localizado na #256 BBU Road, Satcha serve como o primeiro centro de incubação de artesanato do Camboja. IT capacita e capacita artesãos locais através de programas intensivos de vários anos que combinam técnicas Khmer tradicionais com design contemporâneo. Abrangendo cerca de um hectare, o local inclui oficinas, jardins paisagísticos, um showroom e um café - todos construídos com materiais sustentáveis e ecológicos, como bambu.

We were looking for something to do in Seim Reap that did not involve a temple or ancient ruin. That is exactly what we found we in this highly educational tour about the killing fields and what Cambodia has gone through as a country. It also highlighted the importance of the Appoca organization and their training of rats to find land mines in the country. And some of the artillery that is laying around in Cambodia at the war museum. Make sure to visit the royal palace and gardens to see the tree bats and release a bird to bring good karma for the rest of your trip
