A partida é após o café da manhã do hotel em Sharm El Sheikh. Você será transferido para Santa Catarina e visitará o mosteiro de Santa Catarina, que é o mais antigo mosteiro do cristianismo. Está situado a 220 km a noroeste de Sharm el-Sheikh e localizado entre os montes de Santa Catarina e o Monte Moisés. É um mosteiro grego ortodoxo dentro de suas paredes incríveis, repousa uma cidadela como nenhuma outra, é incrivelmente rica em importantes estruturas religiosas e históricas. Entre os seus tesouros está o Museu de Santa Catarina com ícones atribuídos ao pintor Angelos, um dos artistas mais famosos do século XV, ou aos seus pares, bem como os seis ícones de Miguel Damaskinos, considerados entre os mais importantes obras da Escola Cretense do século XVI.
Depois, seguiremos para Dahab, a Flower Power City no Mar Vermelho, para um passeio pela cidade e compras. Em um restaurante local, almoçaremos e depois o levaremos de volta ao seu hotel em Sharm El Sheikh.

Was the visit to the monastery worth a trip? I think so. Whether the time effort of the trip is in proportion... well...the knowledgeable tour guide had quite a quick step on it the wet so fit guests could not really keep up. The time in the monastery was appropriate. I would have liked to skip the sale before and after for a faster journey home, but am used to the numal belonging to it. The food was very sporadic and only at the very end. Tips. Pack enough snacks and drinks. Wrap warm things up, it's cold upstairs. Or you can buy some stuff there 😉 Maybe it's a special experience for religious people
This was a trip of a lifetime. I have wanted to visit St. Catherine’s for 40 years. Unfortunately, the monastery is only open for 2 1/2 hours closes at 11:30 am. The trip guide made us stop for 30 minutes at an overpriced shop selling copies of icons before we went to St. Catherine’s . By the time we got to the monastery, we had less than an hour to visit this holy location to the world’s three major religions. Then we drove back to Dahab for lunch where our guide tried to make us go into different stores before our lunch. We all just walked out and made him take us to the restaurant. I was grateful to have someone else drive us as there is a lot of security stops. It was the only opportunity that I will have to go to St. Catherine’s in my life and I am grateful that we were able to go but it was not the trip that it should have been.
