Neste Tour vamos descobrir através de um percurso guiado por um Local os seus 2000 anos de história, começando pelas suas origens visitando o Museu do Teatro Romano de Saragoça. Continuaremos visitando suas duas principais catedrais, La Seo e nossa Basílica del Pilar para terminar falando sobre a época atual e sua gastronomia no mercado central de Zaragoza.

Descobriremos a história dos primórdios da cidade romana de Cesar Augusta a partir de seu Teatro Romano. As instalações do museu ocupam um terreno correspondente a importantes casas dos períodos medieval, renascentista e barroco. Por esta razão, o Museu irá revelar uma visão conjunta de vestígios interessantes e amostras da história de Zaragoza dos períodos mencionados.
Visitaremos um dos monumentos mais importantes de Zaragoza, a Catedral de San Salvador ou La Seo. Está localizado onde sempre foi o centro religioso da cidade. Anteriormente local do templo romano e depois da sua mesquita. As suas origens remontam ao século XII, após a conquista do rei Afonso I, uma catedral de estilo românico, ao longo dos anos seguiram-se diferentes reformas de diferentes estilos, pelo que podemos encontrar o gótico, o mudéjar, o renascentista e o barroco. em suas paredes.
O Museu expõe parte da importante coleção, composta por 63 tapeçarias dos séculos XV, XVI e XVII, tecidas nas famosas oficinas europeias de Arras, Tournai e Bruxelas. definitivamente uma das jóias de Zaragoza.
Visitaremos o primeiro templo mariano do cristianismo. já que nela se conserva e venera a coluna —na verdade, uma coluna de jaspe— que, segundo a tradição, foi colocada pela Virgem Maria que, vivendo ainda em Jerusalém, teria aparecido em carne mortal ao Apóstolo Santiago no dia 2 de janeiro 40. A história atesta a existência de uma igreja moçárabe em Saraqusta dedicada a Santa María, no mesmo local onde hoje se encontra a basílica barroca. Em torno deste templo vivia uma das comunidades cristãs da cidade.
Ruínas da Muralha Romana com cerca de 80 metros de comprimento, no extremo noroeste do que foi a cidade romana de Caesaraugusta, construída no século I.
Visitaremos o mercado projetado em 1895 pelo arquiteto aragonês Félix Navarro Pérez para substituir o tradicional que acontecia ao ar livre na antiga praça do mercado. Foi encomendado pela Sociedad Nuevo Mercado de Zaragoza e em 1903 foi concluído. É Monumento Histórico Nacional desde 1978 e Bem de Interesse Cultural desde 1982.

We had a very interesting and informative tour with Marta, who was knowledgeable and engaging; We learned quite a bit about the history of Zaragoza and the region through visiting the ruins of the Roman amphitheater, Our Lady of the Pillar and La Seo. Particularly enjoyed La Seo because its history and architecture really tell the story of this city and region. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide was very kind and informative. She took her time sharing the vast history of Zaragoza with us and our tour ended up being 30 minutes longer than expected. Due to a wedding, we needed to visit some of the sites out of order. This was not a problem for us but we appreciated the guide keeping us informed. During our tour, we visited the cathedral, the theater and the basilica. Our guide was also kind enough to purchase the ticket upgrade which allowed us access to the Roman Forum. We were able to do this on our own after the tour. The Viator description mentioned that we would also see the Roman walls & the Mercado. Neither of these were visited during our tour. We also did not see the tapestries but this may have been due to the wedding. Overall, it was a very informative tour but we would have preferred to spend less time in the cathedral and been able to visit other sites like the wall or the baths.
We had a wonderful time on this tour. Marta was a fantastic guide - very fun and interesting. We learned so much about Zaragoza. She took us to the Roman ruins. Even though the actual building was closed because it was Sunday we could see the ruins and she explained everything and showed us maps/information on her iPad. She also explained about the town and the church. At the end of the tour she gave us great recommendations for tapas. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Zaragoza.

Very informative tour. Our guide was really friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of Zaragoza and the monuments that we saw. Our tour ended up being 3 hours but did not feel like it. Very interesting, well worth doing.
Our guide, Martin, is a native of Zaragoza and a historian. We learned so much from him and enjoyed his knowledge & enthusiasm. Definitely the way to experience this beautiful city from the perspective of a local!
We had a tour with Marta who is a fantastic guide. She really helped us to understand Spanish history and particularly the changing regimes in the city and how each had shaped its fortunes and growth. Her tour was fascinating and definitely good value for money.
