The monastery is great. I wish we had the opportunity to spend more time there. But to beat the rush, we left 90 minutes earlier than the original 9am pick up . Our lunch became a brunch, which we didn't enjoy. The village we chose to explore was nothing really. This was not our guide Fred's fault. He was good and a great driver. This was all due to the earlier start, which I agreed to. But we would rather have just stayed up by the monastery.

We’re sorry to hear that an earlier lunch affected your overall enjoyment and that you did expect more of Collbato village. Our intention in adjusting the schedule was to offer you the best possible experience at the monastery by avoiding the 1 hour waiting at the parking, as parking gets full by 9am on the weekends. In Spain eating a big lunch before 13h is not possible in the countryside, as local kitchen time for big meals starts at 13h. We truly hope you felt the quality of service, care, and professionalism that Fred and our team always strive to deliver. We sincerely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue to improve. We would, however, kindly note that a 3-star rating doesn’t fully reflect the overall effort, flexibility, and experience provided prior or during this trip. We had a wonderful private tour with Alex to Monserrat & a winery. It was raining for the Monserrat portion of the day & Alex was very accommodating. The sun came out at the winery which was beautiful & historic. Thank you!
This was a fantastic trip! Monserrat was gorgeous. Our guide Carlos made the trip fun and very educational. The views from the monastery were breathtaking. The wine tasting was fabulous. The tapas paired well with the wines we tried, and again, Carlos was very knowledgeable and made it very interesting and fun. After the tasting, we had free time to wander around the grounds of the winery. It was my favorite outing of our trip. We are going again in November for a girls' trip, and I plan on reserving this again. I hope Carlos is our guide!!
Alejandro was very knowledgeable. We asked to be taken to places that sell the best quality foods and tapas. He did not disappoint. We had some of the best and most authentic Catalonian dishes. They were things I never would have thought to order at places I would probably have passed up. It was a very enjoyable experience.
Elvira and her team are 7 stars. Excellent access to places I had never seen before she is well organized and has a very bubbly and sympatico character . I would recommend her and her team to anyone looking for a great tour experiences!
Elvira showed us around Montserrat by car. The landscapes are quite unique and the road to the vineyard is definitely worth a photo. The monastery is beautiful and the museum contains many masterpieces (impressionist painters in particular). The visit of the vineyard is informative and the tasting quality with local grape varieties that I did not know. Elvira is Catalan so she was able to tell us about her region during the drive to the mountain. In short, I recommend this excursion.
Can I add + than 5 stars? We had a wonderful time with Elvira,our guide and the winery owner and somellier. The experience was more than what we expected,we learnt about the local wine culture and try the best wines ever!🍷
Great experience.Not only visited this Monastery but also we had a premium experience at a secluded winery where we tried high quality wine and meet 5th generation owner. It is possible to request as well a pick from Barcelona, worth the money. We will book again this tour operator.
