Our favourite memory from our asia trip last summer was for sure this tour. We originally booked this trip specifically because my boyfriend has tattoos and wanted to go an onsen and we'd get to see mt fuji too. The tour exceeded our expectations completely. Our tour guide Max was amazing. He got to know us on the car ride to the mountain. My boyfriend and I enjoy learning about japanese folklore, specifically horror and Max was able to give us a more tailored experience telling us about stories and facts he knew we would be interested in. As this can be a full day trip it is absolutely more worth it to make it more personalised for you. It was flexible as we had options to stay longer in certain areas or options on what we wanted to eat or where to go. A big company tour bus is not going to give you this experience for sure. Our tour guide also went above and beyond, giving us recommendations such as where to eat and underrated places and areas in japan to see which all turned out to be great. The guides are amazing and they take great photos too! If we go back to Tokyo again we would absolutely be booking with this tour company again.
We were so glad we chose a private car to do Mt Fuji. Our driver and guide (Moon) was very punctual and was open to us choosing our own itenary whilst being incredibly informative about the history of the mountain, shrines and surrounding areas. I would reccommend doing a private car to maximise time in the areas you really want to see!
Even though we couldn’t see Mount Fuji because of the clouds, Yayoi-san made the tour unforgettable! She was so kind, patient, and caring — like our Japanese mom. The museum was great, though the lunch wasn’t our favorite. We’d suggest more time at the onsen and skipping the kimono village. Overall, an excellent experience!
This was the perfect Mt. Fuji tour from start to finish! Our guide, Mie was kind, knowledgeable, and made sure we had the best experience. Thanks to the near-perfect weather, we saw Mt. Fuji at every stop - Miyakawa, Niikura Park, Shimoyoshida, Village view, and Lake Kawaguchi. Each offering a unique perspective of Mt. Fuji's majestic presence. We started with an amazing melon bun at a local market, enjoyed a local specialty - Hoto noodles for lunch - hearty, flavorful food. Afterwards, we had the choice to relax in a hot spring with a view of Mt. Fuji. Mia also treated us to sweet local snacks on the way, and when we left the snack shop, the owner even gave us a small mochi as a parting gift - such a thoughtful moment! Before heading back, we enjoyed a sake tasting, which was a fun and flavorful way to close out the day. We were a small group: our family of three and a lovely couple from Down Under. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better Mt. Fuji tour. It was perfect in every way - beautiful sights, delicious food, and the elusive Mt. Fuji showing up for us at every stop. Highly, highly recommended!
Beautiful day and time with this tour. We had great Mount Fuji views and tour. Better than a bus tour would be for sure. I would like to clarify that you cannot rent a yukata as the place that is visited is reserved for ahead only. This was also told to us if it was available that we would have to pay ourselves. The onsen also had to be paid for my ourselves. Both these were listed as included on Viator and we did not bring enough cash. Our guide was very kind and let us use her cash until we could stop at a 7/11. This was a bit awkward. If the title and description is changed a bit I think this would be an 5/5 experience!
The listing had been changed to the kimono and onsen to be paid by guests because we have retained the pricing but experiencing excessive cost surge for gasoline, highway tolls, and for the food venues. The guides had been instructed to act accordingly to change and may have interacted 1) emphasizing too strongly the fact that the guests must pay, 2) the timing of change did not correspond with the actual reservation time meaning the change was “after” the said reservation. This is have been verified with the customers or the customers should have notified the guide so that there would have been no confusion. The guide did not check nor did the customer let the guide know so it seems as this was something that fell through the cracks. Hopefully the experience itself, which is most important for us, had been exceptional for the customers.
It was a lovely day trip with unique activities. Ramesh was a great tour guide and English translator. Kwon-san was a friendly and safe driver. We had a very positive experience, and we were lucky it ended up being a private tour! We saw Mt Fuji clearly from different angles.
Our guide was super friendly and gave us a deep insight into Japanese culture. It was a great day!
We took this tour with 5 friends and enjoyed it very much. The best part is that we were able to take many nice pictures of Mr.Fuji from famous photo spots. You can enjoy different panoramic views of Mr.Fuji. Also, I enjoyed the open-air hot springs (Onsen) with a view of Mr.Fuji in front. so relaxing. After the Onsen we went to a Sake brewery where we enjoyed Sake tasting and a Daiginjo Ice cream. The Ice cream was really tasty. You should try. I will recommend this tour if you are a small group semi-private and you want to maximize your Mt.Fuji taking photo tour in one day from Tokyo. I took this tour in winter, but spring time must be beautiful with Sakura. Anyway, we enjoyed it very much. Thank you.
Keiko-san was an excellent tour guide. My only wish is that we could have spent time at every single stop. She did an incredible job with our group of six people. She answered as many questions as she could and did her best to tailor our tour to our group interests. The onsen was incredible. We got to relax while staying at Mt. Fuji.
as a female traveling alone, I cannot express how extremely comfortable I was during this tour. They take few people, have a very comfortable transport, and truly go above and beyond to make your trip a lifetime memory. History and cultural knowledge, perfect English, and knowledge of all the niche places you want to see. I even got to go to a beautiful open air onsen even when I have tattoos! THIS IS NOT A BUS TOUR. This is a personalised experience that you will remember for life.
