Miravalles Cratera e Cachoeiras de Tamarindo

Our host, Rainer, was incredible. He was attentive to making us comfortable. We had snack and bathroom breaks on the way there and back at very nice places. The tour was beautiful and very enjoyable....the waterfalls, volcano, water pools, sauna and mudbaths and our host was very informative. Lunch was delicious: thick and moist tilapia, green salad, noodle salad, rice and beans and a beverage.

This was such a great experience! Rainer was such a great guide, giving us options of when to go where and also added some other stops for us. The crater was such a cool place and the hot springs were great. Overall an amazing day. Thanks!

Rainer our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, we had a great time doing waterfalls , hike and hoy spring .. it was our first time at the volcano and rain forest , we were lucky to see sloth and toucan .. Great day !!

This maybe is the best tour to explore the rainforest. Carlos was our guide and he was very enthusiastic, high energy and very knowledgeable about the area. We really enjoyed his company, the tour was spectacular, seeing the water falls , volcano and enjoying the hot springs were the best experience I've ever had. Highly recommend.

This tour is simply amazing! You will get to hike the volcano, see waterfalls, go on swinging bridges and take amazing photos! You also will have the best authentic lunch in Costa Rica! I can’t forget to mention seeing the steam coming from the volcano as well as the water boiling and the mud! You even get to sit in a sauna, take a mud bath and sit in the spring water pool!

Rainier from Pininos Adventures was a great guide. To start off, the day we were scheduled to go to Miravalles, it was pouring rain. Omar (from Pininos) called to offer us a different day if we wanted to switch. We did and it was a beautiful day. Second, myself and another lady in our party have bad knees and we were concerned about the hiking involved. Rainier assured us that he would alter the tour to make it doable for us. He made it so we could do what we could and the others could do more. He was very kind and very patient with us. We were a little disappointed that the waterfall park was closed because of too much rain the previous days but it was not the fault of the adventure company. Rainier took us to a different location so we still got to see a couple waterfalls. If you are thinking of bypassing an excursion because you don’t think you can handle it, give Pininos Adventures a call and see if they can make it doable for you. I know they will do their best to make sure you enjoy your time in Guanacaste. If we go back to Costa Rica our first call will be to Pininos Adventures for all of our excursions. Rainer is an amazing tour guide and excellent driver. Seriously, he's the best driver I've ridden with in Costa Rica. He knows so many facts about the area, and he has a great sense of humor.

Amazing experience! Our tour guy Rodney did an awesome job giving us the history of Guanacaste. The mud baths were my favorite part. Definitely worth it!

We were looking for a day trip that wasn't on the typical Costa Rica checklist. And we wanted a volcano. Enter Miravalles and Carlos at Pininos Adventures. Carlos was engaging, flexible, and knowledgeable - everything we want in a guide for a day trip. We asked all sorts of questions about Costa Rican culture, agriculture, and history, and always got a solid response. Our van was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed every piece of this tour - from swimming at the waterfall to the hike to a sloth spotting, to a delicious Casado lunch. (Vegetarian option is great!) But the best part was the mud bath, natural sauna, and hot spring baths. What a relaxing way to end the day! We also used Pininos Adventures for our airport transfer, which was perfect. Highly recommend.
