Mindo é uma cidade localizada a noroeste de Quito, 2 horas de condução. A floresta nublada tem uma incrível diversidade de fauna aviária, particularmente beija-flores, assim como borboletas. Esta área de floresta primária com uma imensa biodiversidade também tem algumas das maiores taxas de endemismo de plantas no mundo: orquídeas, bromélias, helicônias, samambaias, videiras, musgos e liquens crescem em abundância aqui.

De manhã, seremos apanhados em nosso hotel por nosso guia motorista para tomar o noroeste de Quito com direção a Mindo, uma das florestas nubladas mais visitadas do Equador. Para chegar a Mindo, levaremos cerca de 2 horas, uma vez que chegarmos à cidade, visitaremos um ótimo lugar para admirar muitas espécies de beija-flores. A próxima parada é no jardim das borboletas, onde veremos as 4 etapas da vida das borboletas, cercadas por 1200 borboletas coloridas ao mesmo tempo. Nosso próximo ponto é a fábrica de chocolate artesanal; aqui você terá a oportunidade de conhecer o processo de produção de um delicioso e puro chocolate a partir do grão de cacau. Se tivermos tempo, podemos nos divertir fazendo Canopy (Zip-Line/opcional). Finalmente, voltamos a Quito.
Para aqueles com tempo limitado que não puderam visitar o Meio do Mundo, podemos parar neste local no caminho de volta de Mindo sem custo extra (taxa de entrada NÃO incluída), basta anotar este pedido e tornaremos possível.

This day trip has it all! We did the cable car (tarabita), hiked to the waterfalls, and finished with an amazing chocolate tour. Doing it as a private trip meant we could customize our itinerary and stay longer at the spots we loved.
We spend the morning surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife, then transition back to the city with a stop at the equator. It’s a lot of ground to cover, but the private transport makes the logistics seamless and much easier than trying to coordinate local buses.
It was an incredibly special day with Mijael. He was SO passionate and knowledgeable about every aspect of the trip, from the plants and nature to geography and mythology. We loved chatting with him, exploring the stunning town of Mindo, and enjoying a waterfall hike. The tour felt relaxed , peaceful, fun and educational. Thanks for organizing a memorable day!

My family & I had an excellent English speaking guide in Quito. We spent 3 days with Kevin. We visited Quito, the center of the earth, the Mindo cloud forest, went zip lining and the Otavalo market. Kevin spent over 10 hours with us each day, he hiked with us and took us to a great chocolate farm and good restaurant. He was accommodating, pleasant and knowledgeable. His prices for the 5 of were much better then Viator and we had complete control over our day. I enjoyed photographing the numerous hummingbirds. Very colorful. Also learning how chocolate was made was interesting. Seeing the butterfly farm was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And the orchid farm was amazing.
