We had an incredible experience on the Midnight Sun Magic Chena Hot Springs and Ice Museum Tour, and John made it even better. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept the whole ride fun and smooth. The Hot Springs felt absolutely wonderful—the perfect way to unwind—and the Ice Museum was amazing, especially the atmosphere and the artistry inside. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Fairbanks, and extra thanks to John for making the day unforgettable.
Pick up on time. John was very friendly and knowledgeable about area. Overall it was a great experience.
John was a phenomenal tour guide. He was fun, personable and informative. He gave us real insights into Alaskan life and made sure we got to see as much wildlife as possible. The ride was relatively long, so this really made the trip go quickly. If you have the opportunity to have him as your guide, take it!
The ride to and from was a bit challenging. The ice museum was cool but only took about 20 minutes. The springs were ok. I would not return again.

This was a great tour! Relaxing and fun and Jon was a great guide! The ice museum was beautiful and everyone was friendly and helpful.

Unique experience visiting Chena Hot Springs. The hot springs were relaxing and the ice museum was fascinating.
If you’re short, be the first in line or else you can’t see the demonstration in the Ice Museum. Stay to the left.

Don’t set your expectations too high. The photos available online and the hot springs are not as appealing in reality. Our tour driver was excellent, however, from the Princess Riverside Hotel to Chena took much longer than stated. The ride was bumpy even traveling at low speeds. Overall it was not worth what we paid. The apple martini was tasty.

Chena Hot Springs is located approximately 60 miles from Fairbanks, and while we do our best to provide accurate travel times, road conditions, wildlife sightings, construction, and traffic can occasionally make the journey longer than expected. The road can also be rough in certain sections despite careful driving. Chena Hot Springs is one of Alaska's most popular attractions, but we understand that experiences and expectations can vary from guest to guest. Resort area Does not take Apple Pay or American Express ice museum was cool and we watched them make a martini glass. Hot Springs area was ok thought it would be nicer like ones we’ve been to in Europe. Driver Russell really went out of his way to give us a great experience. He gets five stars.
