We booked this excursion for our family while our cruise was in port, and it turned out to be one of the nicest days of our vacation. The transportation was comfortable with air conditioning, which was appreciated because the weather was warm. Every stop had its own personality. Sorrento was lively with charming streets and great little shops, Positano had incredible scenery that looked even better than the pictures, and Amalfi had a peaceful atmosphere that invited us to slow down and explore. The guide shared useful information during the drive without talking nonstop, which made the trip enjoyable. We had enough free time in each town to wander around, take family photos, and enjoy some local snacks. The pickup at the cruise port was well organized, and we returned with plenty of time before departure. It was a relaxed and memorable experience.
One of the highlights of our trip to Italy was the Amalfi Coast excursion, which we reserved from Naples. The trip along the coast was picturesque, and the pickup from our hotel in Naples was prompt. We made stops in Sorrento, Amalfi Town, and Positano. Tis tour is worthwhile if you're staying in Naples.
This excursion was a great introduction to the Amalfi Coast. Every destination had something different to offer. Sorrento was full of charm, Positano delivered the spectacular coastal views everyone talks about, and Amalfi had beautiful architecture and pleasant walking streets. The small group size made everything feel organized without becoming crowded. We especially appreciated the comfortable vehicle between stops because the coastal roads are winding. There was enough free time to explore independently, enjoy a coffee, and browse local stores. Everything was handled professionally, and we arrived back at the cruise terminal with time to spare.
The drive along the coastline alone made this excursion worthwhile. Every turn revealed another incredible view of the sea and colorful villages. Traveling with friends made the day even more enjoyable because there were plenty of opportunities for photos and exploring together. The stops were long enough to experience each town without constantly checking the time. Sorrento was lively, Positano was unforgettable, and Amalfi had a relaxed atmosphere that we really appreciated. The guide offered useful recommendations but never pressured anyone into following a certain plan. It felt flexible and comfortable from beginning to end.
We’ve traveled to many coastal destinations, but the Amalfi Coast still stood out as something special. This tour gave us a chance to see it comfortably without the stress of driving. The views were incredible throughout the journey. Cliffs dropping into the sea, small villages clinging to hillsides, and boats scattered along the coast made every moment scenic. We appreciated having short stops in key towns, which allowed us to explore and take in the atmosphere. It was a very enjoyable and visually stunning day.
Well, I can’t exactly rate this tour because the company switched us to a different tour without asking us. We still got to see Sorrento, Positano, and Almalfi; but it wasn’t “for cruise passengers.” We received a message the night before warning us not to miss the bus at a hotel at 7:30. I told them the gangway goes out at 7:30, so we couldn’t get there. “Rita” gave me directions and again warned me not to be late. This bothered me because we were supposed to be picked up at the port, but now had to run to a hotel. Then Francisco (not his fault) checked us in and told us that we were on a tour NOT for cruise passengers. We almost didn’t get on the bus, but Francisco made a call and assured us we would be back in time (we weren’t confident but decided to risk it figuring we could take a taxi to port if need be). The tour was good , and so was Francisco — he dealt with my stress and checked in with me throughout the day assuring me of the timing. And we did get back with time to spare — BUT we should not have been put under that kind of stress with no notification.

We apologize for the stress caused, but the problem was that first-time cruisers often trust the legends that guests who booked ship tours disembark first and that independent guests cannot disembark until 7:30 AM, while the ship docked at 6:00 AM. Usually, we accommodate cruise passengers within 30 minutes after the ship’s arrival, not to mention one and a half hours. For first-time cruisers reading this: please do not waste your time on board waiting for the ship’s “own” customers to disembark first. A cruise ship is simply a method of transportation, like a train or plane, where all passengers are equal, except for business-class guests who may have priority leaving the transport. The same applies to getting back to the ship. There is no need to be there two hours before the ship’s departure. One hour is more than enough, as most major ships remove gangways approximately 30 minutes before departure. It is like an airline asking you to be at the airport two hours in advance, while in reality you do not always need to be that early and waste your time waiting. To cut a long story short, all our groups from your ship arrived and departed on time. Since you were late, we did not want to leave you there and added you to our hotel group. Hopefully, you appreciated our efforts. Thank you for your kind words about Francisco. He really walked an extra mile for you. Next time, please do not pay attention to cruise ship legends: disembark first and come back last! Many happy and safe travels ahead!
The scenery is a postcard with every click. It was crowded but not as bad or as hot when we visited 10 years ago. Not much has changed but that's a good thing because everyone comes to expect the scenery. Houses built on the sides of the mountain and tumbling right into the sea; seemingly defying gravity. Again, needing strong legs and endurance!
As a solo traveler, I wanted a tour that would let me experience the Amalfi Coast without having to plan transportation or worry about logistics. This excursion was exactly that. The scenery along the coast was absolutely stunning. I spent a lot of time just looking out the window during the drive, as every section of the road had something worth seeing. The stops were well timed, giving enough space to explore independently and take photos. It felt safe, comfortable, and very enjoyable as a solo day trip from the cruise.

This tour worked very well for our family because the pace felt manageable from beginning to end.
