My wife and I took this half-day Stellenbosch tour on the day that we were scheduled to depart Cape Town. Our guide was Rob Martin, who was a real delight, knowledgeable and interesting. If you take this tour, I would highly recommend that you request Rob as your guide. He picked us up timely at our hotel in the morning (in fact, he was there earlier than scheduled) and after a wonderful tour of Stellenbosch and two wineries (all that we had time for), he got us back to our hotel in plenty of time to collect our suitcases and get to the airport for our flight.
Very well conducted tour with Meinrad. He had extensive knowledge not only about wine but also about the history surrounding it. I would do it again.
We wished to arrange a 1/2 day trip to Stellenbosch from Cape Town to see the town and test the wines. Early 8.30 pick up from hotel was excellent and we met our driver/guide Jackie. Small group of 7 people.. 40 minute drive to first vineyard and we enjoyed our first sampling of 4 wines and cheeses. Then drive through Stellenbosch before visiting the second vineyard. Back at hotel by 13.30. Excellent trip when time is limited in Cape Town. Jackie was outstanding.
Two wonderful wineries, experienced descriptions of the wine, four at each winery, and a knowledgeable and safe guide and driver.
Amazing winery tour! Raegan was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and full of fun stories. The wines were excellent, the scenery beautiful, and the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!
We had a fabulous tour of 2 wineries and a tour of Stellenbosch with an amazing young man called Zac, he was so knowledgeable.
In error I accidentally booked a private instead of a group tour with the rest of my friends. It worked out well. My tour guide Adolf was very knowledgeable and provided background on the area. He was willing to take me to any winery I preferred- however, I hadn’t completed any research and relied on his expertise. Two wineries were more than enough for me as I rested really that night.
Really good tour and suited our timeframe. Rowland was very informative and attentive. Great trip even though the weather wasn’t good.
The driver stole our wine during a stop in Stellenbosch town. Very disappointed with the tour operator African Eagle for not taking any action.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration caused by the loss of your belongings. Our guide on duty checked the vehicle at your drop-off and after your tour, but unfortunately, the item was not found. Our office was informed of the situation, and a follow-up was conducted the following day; however, no lost property was reported or handed in by any other guests or staff. I regret that we were unable to recover your missing item, please know that we take such matters seriously and will continue to encourage all guests to report lost property immediately to improve the chances of recovery. this is a very short tour, consisted of more driving then “touring” the 2 vineyards when leaving from capetown pick up our driver Adolph was very nice, knowledgeable and good driver
