McLaren Vale Small Shared Tour com degustação de vinhos e almoço

Decided to holiday in Adelaide to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and being wine lovers booked direct with AMQ for a McLaren Vale small group tour after reading great reviews. What a surprise when we found out that we were the only two persons on the tour. We thought we would be at the pick up point outside our hotel nice and early but lo and behold our awesome guide Andrew was already there and got out and opened each door for us. What an absolute gentleman, very witty and very knowledgeable about the local areas and we were treated by Andrew like celebrities or royalty. We were driven to fantastic cellar doors at Olivers Taranga where we tasted fine wines, local almonds and olive oil, Mollydooker Wines where we had more fine wines and the most beautiful platter of local produce, Maxwell Wines where we sat in front of a log fire and tried wines and Mead and lastly but not least Lino Ramble where we spoke to a most charming lady and tried more amazing wines. We tasted some amazing wines and met some remarkable people, saw some truly spectacular views and made memories that will last us our lifetime. To top it off we sat back whilst Andrew chauffeured us back to our hotel whilst enjoying the massaging seats in his beautiful BYD SUV. We certainly look forward to returning to Adelaide for another visit and will certainly be using Andrews expertise on another tour possibly to the Barossa next time. Thank you so much Andrew, we had an amazing day with you, many many thanks from this old couple.

We recently did a tour of the McLaren Vale with Andrew. We found Andrew to be friendly and very knowledgeable and the area and chose great wineries for us to visit. The van was clean and super comfortable. Everyone at each of the wineries knew what they were talking about made it easy for us to purchase wines and ship them back to Melbourne. We could not fault AMQ Tours. Nick was our tour guide, and he arrived on time, was very personable and knowledgeable. We felt very special being chauffeured around McLaren Vale in the very luxurious people mover. The wineries they chose were just divine and perfect for us. We spent the day with Andrew visiting four different cellar doors in the McLaren Vale and it was a delight. Andrew has years of experience in all facets of South Australian wine making. That background and being from Adelaide makes him the consummate guide - and it shows at every turn. Each cellar door we stopped at was unique and distinct from each other - all with excellent wines and personable staff. A tasting with fresh bread, olive oil and almonds at Oliver's Taranga, a tasty lunch at Molly Dooker, an educational and laugh filled tasting at Lino Rambles and finally a tasting with an expansive view at Chalk Hill. Andrew showed us a range of wineries that really showed off what the region has to offer - locations we would certainly have never landed at by chance, driving around on our own. He's clearly well connected to the wineries he introduced us to and that made for a unique day of exploring. You'd be foolish to go with anyone else.
