A Reserva cobre 1.510 quilômetros quadrados (580 milhas quadradas) e eleva-se 1.500-2.170 metros acima do nível do mar. O ecossistema Masai Mara possui uma das maiores densidades de leões do mundo e é para onde mais de dois milhões de gnus, zebras e gazelas Thompson migram anualmente. A vida selvagem do Masai Mara é mundialmente conhecida, com os chamados “Big Five” – búfalo, elefante, leopardo, leão e rinoceronte – evidentes ao longo do ano. Os “Big Nine” – incluindo guepardos, zebras, girafas e hipopótamos – estendem essa experiência.

I got more than i expected and then the expectations rose. I am thoroughly happy with all the sightings. The guide cum driver knew the terrain so well and spotted the best sightings. Ashnil Mara Camp stay was also wonderful with Hippos in the river for company. They had Indian cuisine too which is thoughtful. 3 cheers for Nature Explorers team that made all.the arrangements, gave us all the useful information and were available at all times. However, please avoid recommending Giraffe Centre at Nairobi. Total waste of time. Please suggest other options. Thank you, NEI team.
