Pararemos em Riad zitoun el kdim para provar o SEFANJ marroquino. Sfanj é doce marroquina. É feito com massa, moldado em anéis, e depois frito em óleo quente até tomar uma cor dourada. Os marroquinos estão acostumados a sfenj a partir da primeira infância, seja na manhã antes do início da escola ou no final da tarde após a conclusão das aulas. A deliciosa comida doce é servida quente com um sorvete de açúcar, geralmente com uma xícara de chá de menta, e você pode encontrá-lo em quase todas as padarias nas ruas marroquinas ou mercados tradicionais.
Visitaremos um mercado de azeitonas. Teremos uma parada e saborear todo o tipo de azeitonas e (harisa) harisa é um chillies quente.
Depois de provarmos as azeitonas iremos para Derb Dabachi e provar o Mseman marroquino. Msemen são panquecas marroquinas de forma plana e quadrada geralmente servidas para o café da manhã ou chá. Eles são feitos por aplicação de massa rghaif em uma superfície oleada até que o papel seja fino, apontando-o com manteiga e sémola, depois dobrá-lo em terços (duas vezes) para formar uma panqueca em camadas.
Depois de provarmos Mseman vamos caminhar até Jemaa El fna e tentar Chebakia. Chebakia é um dos mais famosos alimentos marroquinos e é definitivamente um biscoito que qualquer pessoa que tente adora. A comida doce tradicional pode ser encontrada nas casas da maioria dos marroquinos, especialmente durante o mês de Ramadã, em restaurantes e, claro, nas ruas da medina movimentadas de Marrocos.
Zaalouk é uma salada de ervilhas e tomates, temperada com especiarias e alho. Muitas vezes é moído para uma consistência semelhante a um mergulho e engarrafado com azeite. Como testemunho da produtividade abundante de Marrocos, Zaalouk celebra a humilde erva-doce. Servido como um lado ou um iniciador, seus sabores fumosos e tangidos tornam-no um ingrediente básico no mezze marroquino. Mechoui é um prato tradicional marroquino de cordeiro assado. O cordeiro é temperado com uma mistura de especiarias, depois assado lentamente até que seja macio e caia do osso. A carne é muitas vezes comida com os dedos, tornando-se uma experiência de jantar comum. Mechoui é muitas vezes reservado para ocasiões especiais e grandes reuniões. We had a wonderful food tour with Mobarak! Our nine-year-old son who is an extremely picky eater absolutely loved the tour and even tried snails, which was his favorite part. We tried many street foods and local places which was just what we wanted. Highly recommend!

We had a great tour personalized to our likes and requests. The guide was very friendly and accommodating. He asked what type of foods we had already tried and what we wanted to try. He also made recommendations on what he thought we should eat. Enjoyed trying everything and would definitely recommend this experience. Great way to try a lot of local dishes from local merchants.

Definately one of the best nights we enjoyed. The directions to the meeting point were super and given it was our first night, we found Mbarek straight away. Being out of season there was only my Husband and myself on the Tour. Mbarek made us feel at ease immediately and then off we went. He took us around the whole Medina and areas that we probably would either not have found or perhaps not gone into not knowing the area. We sat and ate with locals at different venues and sampled traditional Moroccan cuisine with beautiful mint tea. MBarek explained a lot about the history of buildings, the culture and the different foods and spices. I will say, make sure you are hungry as everything was stunning but I felt I could not do the food justice as just too much, although my Husband gave it a very good go!! We really enjoyed everything we tried...even the fantastic snail stand in the Medina and the amazing 'half' sandwiches (which we had another three of during our stay). Unfortunately, I cannot load any photo's of the lovely dishes or Mbarek himself as my phone was stolen on the last day and I had not uploaded to the cloud, so pretty gutted about that. All of that aside, I would definately recommend this tour. For a first night, it also gives you all your bearings as the Medina can be a bit a maze for first timers, but after this night - we always knew where we were and how to get everywhere. Authentic Moroccan street food tour. Our guide spoke excellent English and was very informative on the foods plus any other questions we asked him about Marrakesh. We walked a good wide area, so got to see lots of the bustling city. Was nice to try the foods the locals eat. We was very full by the end of the tour!
