Andrew was amazing. He located so many things in the park that we would have missed. He was funny and took the time to explain everything. Would highly recommend taking a tour with Andrew! The pictures he shared of the things we saw were fantastic!
The team gave us really clear instructions before arriving - particularly with what to bring/what not to bring which was important as the park is very strict with what they let in. The team organised the tickets before which made it a seamless, hassle-free day for us. The guide, Mop, had a great sense of humour and an incredible eye for spotting animals within the park - he has been doing this for 25+ years! He definitely had the biggest scope and was kind enough to take all the photos/videos using his camera and air-dropped them to us at the end of the tour which finished on the beach. It was a slightly larger than initially expected group for us, but this way due to sickness, so took some time getting through everyone seeing the animals through the scope, but all the groups were lovely so wasn't a big problem for us.
We booked the tour directly on their site; we were provided with the necessary information, such as the meeting point and the guide's name, well in advance. Our guide Saul was great, very experienced and professional. He even spotted a toucan in front of the entrance! Awesome. The tour lasted 2 hours… however, I would recommend booking the 7-hour tour instead, since a lot of people arrive starting at 7:30 AM and then it's just group after group. The beach is obviously great, but after 10 AM it's more than crowded since it is quite narrow. The early bird catches the worm! The tour has a very good price-performance ratio.
Mop was a consummate professional... great with kids, engaging with the whole group, and could spot a dragonfly on the underside of a leaf at 100 yards! We saw sloths, three different kinds of monkeys, and the most venomous snake in Costa Rica. Mop was a wealth of knowledge about everything we spotted, and knew the history of the park and the flora and fauna. He even gave us a dinner reservation, which was the perfect end to the day!
Mop was a really great guide, and is funny and fluent in English, which is great. He spotted so many things for us, including all 3 types of monkeys, sloths, a ferdelance, and so many things that the normal human couldn’t see. His 26 years of work paid off by seeing so many small things that we just skipped over. It was amazing how he would quickly spot things and quickly setup the telescope so efficiently. We really lucked out with getting Mop, he’s the best!
This is a team of professionals. We were very pleased with the diversity of animals that we saw in the park. I still don't understand how the guide was able to spot some of the animals that he did.
¡Una experiencia bella e impresionate! Our guide, Felix, was awesome! He was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and had an amazing eye for spotting the animals and insects through Manuel Antonio Park. He answered every question we had about the wildlife we saw in great detail and took keepsake snapshots of the animals on our tour with our cellphones. We saw snakes, lizards, grasshoppers, sloths, a coati, an agouti, howler monkeys, bats, crabs, among other creatures. At the end of the tour, Felix told us the best place to sit on the gorgeous beach and also shared with us another 45 minute trail we could walk through on our own to see breathtaking views of the beach. Me and my girls decided to hike it and we were met by a troop of Capuchin Monkeys. This tour is true unbelievable-not to be missed.
Great tour with Nicole. Would it be possible to have a copy of the photos she took during our tour? It was on July 26th 2026
Saul made this experience incredible. We had VERY clear directions on where to meet (which was such a comfort and helped us avoid scams). This whole tour (including the SPECTACULAR beach) exceeded expectations. The telescope Saul used was incredible and, more than that, he was able to capture pictures of the telescope view on our phones. Including seeing two sloths, which was a dream come true. HIGHLY recommend.
Awesome guided experience. Our guide was very knowledgable and knew spots where we could see the wildlife. He had a high definition spotting scope and a tripod, which helped us take a closer look at the wildlife and also helped take pictures and videos from the spotting scopes. We spotted insects, lizards, snakes, bats, capuchin monkeys, birds, crabs and a toucan. Sometimes wild life can be unpredictable so unfortunately we couldn't see any frogs, sloths, parrots or the Squirrel Monkeys. We visited the park in July and thankfully it was not raining. The tour ends at the beach and the guide showed us parts of the beach which are less crowded and also helped take pictures. Overall it was a nice experience.
