A fabulous trip the Aquarium. Both children thoroughly enjoyed their visit and enjoyed an ice cream at the end in the restaurant. Great service and reasonable prices for ice cream!
Avoid peak season Very crowded
Excellent, perfect family day trip
Thank you for your review
Interesting and well laid out, plenty to see but can be busy.
thank you for your review
Decent enough small aquarium with plenty of fish. Lots of information and just what you would expect for a typical aquarium. Stuff very friendly and helpful, and the one sure we seen was very informative around pirahnes. Fee reasonable but you can be in and out in 20 mins.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the variety of marine life, found the information throughout the aquarium useful, and, most importantly, that our staff were friendly and helpful. We’re particularly glad you enjoyed the educational presentation about the piranhas. Our team runs hourly educational talks covering different species and topics, giving visitors the opportunity to learn more about the animals, their behaviour, habitats and conservation. Regarding the duration of your visit, the Malta National Aquarium features 54 themed tanks and around 250 species, ranging from local Mediterranean marine life to tropical species, sharks, rays, jellyfish, reptiles and amphibians. Each tank also has an interactive information screen providing further details about the species on display. While it is certainly possible to walk through quickly, spending just one minute in front of each of our 54 tanks already amounts to almost one hour. Once you include the Heritage Malta underwater archaeology exhibition, the Deep Explorer immersive submarine experience, the Digital Aquarium, the information screens and our educational talks, a visit can comfortably take well over an hour when the full experience is explored. We appreciate your comments regarding the reasonable entrance fee and, above all, your kind words about our team. Thank you for visiting the Malta National Aquarium, and we hope to welcome you again in the future.
Really great aquarium with a really varied range of species. Different types of sharks, tropical and reef fish. With some reptiles and amphibians, it’s a solid hour having a look round and there is more about Malta’s history on the top floor.
Thank you for this nice review
Quick visit to the aquarium. It’s not huge so doesn’t take long to look around but worth a visit with children especially during the heat wave as lovely and chilled in there
Thank you for this nice review
Attended this aquarium with family. Karen at the main desk was very friendly and toon time to explain to us what added optional extra were available. Kim took us on the tour showing how the sharps were fed was a nice addition ( extra payment required) very interesting to see behind the scènes and learn of the food and the ways the waters are cleaned. This was informative and engaging The remainder of the aquarium was a sight with plenty to look at and plenty to learn. I would definitely return to this fascinating space full of under sea creatures
Thank you for this nice and detailed review
Interesting. The visit is worth it. The service at the bar/restaurant leaves something to be desired. They don't let you sit on the terrace if you don't eat.
Thank you for your review
It was a very pleasant activity and just about an hour to finish it. So it is very friendly for families
