This trip is sold as a private tour and private guide ( see photo) . In fact , you get only a private driver . The wording on Trip Advisor is very misleading . The driver dropped us there and showed us where to buy the tickets , if any and directed us to a restaurant. We have done many private tours which obviously include a private guide . This one was very disappointing. The driver was ok however he drives too fast on the highway and he was in a hurry to get back to KL ( up to 130kmph) ….the rickshaw tour was a ridiculous 10 mins drive … it is the first time I write a bad review … I usually gives the benefit of the doubt and don’t bother . I thought it was important other travelers know about it .
A very peaceful and well designed town/ The whole place is very picturesque. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008, Malacca is famous for its unique blend of Malay, Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch, and British colonial history and culture. Some important landmarks to visit: Dutch Square (Red Square): Iconic terracotta-red Stadthuys and Christ Church A Famosa (Porta de Santiago) & St. Paul's Hill: Ruins of a 16th-century Portuguese fortress and church overlooking the city. Jonker Street (Jalan Hang Jebat): A vibrant street filled with antique shops, hip cafes, and a famous weekend night market. The place is quite warm; carry light clothing and luggage, a lot of walking to be done, and wear some comfortable shoes.
Visiting Malacca was one of the highlights of my trip to Malaysia. The private historical tour was comfortable, informative, and well organized. I loved exploring the heritage buildings, historical sites, and unique atmosphere of this beautiful city. A must-do tour for anyone visiting Malaysia!
Fanastic tour with Sassi. Full of knowledge and fun and finally my friend experienced banana leaf eating.Recommend this tour to whoever is interested in history & culture. Malacca is a very beautiful & vibrant place.
My day trip to Malacca was fantastic thanks to Sathesh. He showed me around the city, explained its history and culture, and made sure I got to see all the highlights. He was great company, and we had a really good time together throughout the day. His friendliness and enthusiasm made the experience memorable.
We were glad that Sathesh accompanied us to tour Malacca today. The food he chose for us to eat was delicious. Aside from being hot and humid today, everything went very well. Thank you Sathesh for your superb service. Hopefully we will be able to meet again next time we visit KL. Thank you.
Yuvanesh was a brilliant guide. Very knowledgeable, great sense of humour. All made for a great day out that I would recommend to anyone.
Excellent tour. Yuvanesh was a great guide - hugely knowledgeable and great company. Thoroughly recommend this trip.
Excellent tour Siva our guide was excellent. Very nice man and very knowledgeable. Good driver very accommodating. Last time we were in Malacca was 20 years ago and all of its history and the old families are gone. Highly commercialised and high rise everywhere. We were disappointed that all of that history seems to have been thrown away and replaced with bars and restaurants. Siva made it a great trip.
Perfect driver, but for the price we thought we could benefit from a less read modern and more comfortable car with not smashed seats
